Anyone who thinks Ace and Dylan did not get $ associated with Rutgers is most likely clueless. The only things we KNOW is they have outside deals also, and we know they got part of the $1M from Vegas, which is RU $. I'm sure they got other too.

He’s not ! He’s awful! Look at any of his players that transfer. They go from 25-32 min at Ru to bench players struggling for minutes.
Currently Lathan is the only power 4 player on next years roster and he can not guard a traffic cone. Year 10 and Pike has 1 Power 4 player on his roster

For example, trace the $1.7 million back to original source. On3 projects NIL value over the next 12 months when Eric will no longer be a college basketball player. He has a few weeks of college ball remaining.
The On3 info shows Eric’s value is less than $1.5 million.

Ace and Dylan essentially have endorsement contracts with Fanatics and other entities, not an NIL deal. It’s more like LeBron signing a deal with Gatorade; it doesn’t matter what team he’s on and its not part of the salary cap.
It’s even more impressive we landed them because we essentially recruited them the old fashioned way, not through an NIL buy.
Our NIL fund, which is what this thread is about, is woefully inadequate at around 1M for the entire roster.

The Fanatics money doesn’t go to Rutgers. It makes it easier to recruit those guys because if they already have that deal then they will care less about incremental NIL but it isn’t the same as having $3m in a Rutgers collective.

I mean, that’s what it’s supposed to be but most of them are just player salaries with some token “endorsement deal” to make it legal.
There is absolutely a huge distinction between legitimate endorsement deals like Ace/Dylan have and whatever bullshit we’re using to pay guys like Acuff for example.
NIL is broken into two categories now, endorsement deals independent of a school fund (what Ace and Dylan have) and school-aligned NIL pools.
HUGE difference between the two. The first is aligned solely with the player, with the lucrative deals reserved primarily for only elite NBA-bound players. The second is driven by school initiatives and/or unofficial school NIL pools. This fund is the “hollistic” fund that the school, donors, and fanbase can control to compensate the whole roster and deploy to maintain roster integrity and to bring in key pieces that may not be at the elite NBA level. Essentially, this is the pool RU needed to properly fund to bring in the adequate supporting cast for Ace and Dylan, and we dropped the ball.
All schools do this and it’s no different than what St. John’s does with vitamin water . It’s Name Image and Likeness money being paid to RU players. If Pike didn’t F&$ it up we could continue to work with Fanstics Nike and others.

If money is independent of the school the player is at it seems silly to count it as “money on the court”. It’s essentially the difference between salary and outside endorsements, Ace/Dylan could’ve gone to Mississippi Valley St and gotten the same money, it doesn’t instantly make Mississippi Valley St an NIL powerhouse
