Additionally, sources tell FootballScoop that veteran Boston College assistant Steve Shimko is expected to be elevated into a co-offensive coordinator type of role within the program.

Shimko, a Rutgers graduate who's been on staff with the Eagles since Hafley was hired three years ago, also has coaching experience at one of the sport's top junior college programs -- Independence (Kansas) -- as well as Southeastern Conference experience at the University of Georgia under Mark Richt.

having RU football alumni successful in coaching positions certainly reflects on the program positively. Good for Shimko and much success, except against RU.
