Stop with your fantasy about another channel picking up the opener

That kid was really annoying to me. I almost gave up because of him. Instead use this site...
https://superrepo.org/kodi/addon/plugin.video.Pac-12/

Don't upgrade to version 1.1.3 of the addon. If you do you'll lose your stream links. Stick with version 1.1.1 that is part of the Super Repo.

SWEET!!! It worked after much failure. I am now watching the WSU vs Oregon replay. I suggest everyone to invest $99 in the Amazon TV and install Kodi if you want to watch the game, add in all the free movies and TV shows. Although the one show I cant seem to find on there is the Little Rascals episodes. Its like they never existed, is there anyway to watch those old classics? I loved that show.

Did you add the movies and TV Shows through the same SuperRepo AddOn?
You don't need FireTV. You can use ChromeCast. You can use a Windows laptop or an Ipad. The advantage of FireTV is that you can use your remote.

I am going to download Kodi to the laptop with the HDMI out that is already connected to our TV.

Most of the movies I watch are through Genesis, Prime or Stream all Sources. In trying to get the PAC 12 channel I did discover NAVI-X, which basically gives you access to all kinds of movies as well as things like Dish Network channels (Pac 12 was not opening up though) including HBO, tons of adult content and any of the other live news channels

Genesis, Prime or Stream all Sources--are they separate add ons, or in the videos you can select from? Sorry for the questions.

the add-on doesn't work or the links don't work? I get dead links all the time, and it can be frustrating. On what device do you have Kodi installed? I have it on a Linux desktop and has been working fine.

Sports devil was unavailable for the longest time, and once i finally was able to get it it doesn't work all the time. Any thoughts?

I dont think they are technically add ons, because whatever way I downloaded Kodi they seemed to be on there under my video tab, so they are seperate from my add ons. There are so many ways to set things up it could have just been the tutorial I followed on Youtube. Once you have them you can use them to search for movies or TV shows. And no problem for the questions I love a good OT!

From what i have learned this week though you dont even need any of them if you have the Navi-X, that has live TV and movies. Try looking on youtube for adding that, it was another one that was on my KODI from original setup. I'm no computer guy so the whole thing was very confusing to me, but the more I use it the more I learn and there is just a shit ton of content out there.

What is the legality on all of this? Nothing wrong with downloading, right? Its the sharing thats illegal, correct?

One of the most compelling features of Kodi is that it can fill the role of a media streaming device. Users can stream TV shows and movies onto a TV using Kodi—which is perfectly fine provided one has a subscription if the service is paid (like Netflix or access to cable channels).

The problem is, the open-source development platform means anyone with the know-how can create add-ons and plugins for Kodi. And there are a lot of them that run toward a legal gray area. In fact, many of the most popular Kodi add-ons — like Phoenix, Genesis, Channel 1, Ice Films, and others that let you watch paid TV without paying — are of questionable legality. So much so that — if you use these add-ons without taking steps to stream safely and privately, you’re taking a big risk.
But that doesn’t make Kodi illegal. As the argument goes, Kodi is no more illegal than a computer. It could be used in illegal ways. But the technology itself doesn’t violate any laws.

That’s true to an extent. One major exception could turn out to be versions of Kodi that contain—without a commercial license—certain software snippets that can unscramble the Content Scramble System with which many DVDs are encrypted. That does put Kodi at risk of violating the U.S.’s Digital Millennium Copyright Act. But so far no one has stepped up to take any legal action.

Whether the developers who create the questionable add-ons, or the people who use them, are in violation of any laws is another big question. Copyright holders would certainly say yes. Internet Service Providers now make a habit of sending alarming letters to customers who appear to be engaged in questionable streaming. (ISP tracking is routine all around these days, but can be prevented by using a VPN to hide your IP address.)

In spite of these tactics, it can be difficult to pinpoint the precise offense per today’s laws. Plus, simply locating violators can be a headache, as most developers use screen names and more users are taking steps to stay anonymous when using Kodi.

I am actually confused by the statement of the PACN spokesperson. He suggests that the selling of the local rights would be in violation of their media agreements but is not the PACN network wholly owned by the PAC 12 and if the game was offered and rejected by their media partners could they not air it on the PACN and also sell the local media rights?

I know it is not going to happen but the statement to me seems contradictory. If they are holding out the game to encourage folks to petition Verizon and DTV to carry the channel, they should just say so.

Knight Shift, I think you are making the importance of Kodi to be too much. All that Kodi does is take a simple Internet HTTP address that someone has found and it links to it just as a browser would. The thing is that the Pac-12 doesn't want you to know that address but it is out there just like every other Internet address just sitting there and waiting to be linked to. In fact you don't even need Kodi to display the channel. I could post an address right now that you could go to on your browser and watch the 1080p Washington feed of the Pac-12 network. I don't want to do that right now because if all the Rutgers fans here suddenly start going to that address and it shows up as a strange spike of use at that address they might change it to some other address. I fully intend to give out that address and others right before the game. They are exactly the same addresses that the 1.1.1 version of the Kodi addon uses. They should be able to be put in the 1.1.3 version which comes without the links built-in.

Hey ... I think this is good news for some of us. But I'll let the TV experts chime in.

. Pac-12 Networks flips feeds on Comcast, puts national channel on basic tier

Friday, June 3, 2016 | By Daniel Frankel

Marking a major strategy pivot for the four-year-old Pac-12 Networks, the regional sports channel has flipped its feeds on Comcast (NASDAQ: CMCSA), putting its national channel on the No. 1 pay-TV service's basic tier.

The Pac-12 Networks' national feed will now be available on Comcast's basic tier. Local versions, like the Utah-and-Colorado-situated Pac-12 Mountain channel, will reside in the Sports Entertainment extra package, a $10-a-month add-on that also includes CBS Sports Network, ESPN Goal Line, Fox College Sports, NFL RedZone, Outside Television, Tennis Channel and beIN Sports.

The national feed will also be available in HD for the first time.

Pac-12 Networks President Lydia Murphy-Stephans said the switch — which will take effect July 21 — had been planned since the RSN launched back in September 2012.

Pac-12 Networks operates a national flagship channel that televises live sports events from across the 12-team Pac-12 collegiate athletic conference. It also has six regional channels that focus on specific regions.

Previously, a Seattle-residing fan of the University of Washington who subscribed to only Comcast's basic tier could see most major sporting events for their team on the regional channel. But they were out of luck if they wanted to watch, say, a football game featuring the rival Washington State Cougars vs. the USC Trojans. That is, unless they subscribed to the Sports Entertainment package.

Now, the situation has been reversed — which will favor bigger markets like Los Angeles, since games featuring USC and UCLA are often shown on both the national and regional feeds.

Of course, none of this solves a core issue for Pac-12 Networks, as it prepares to enter a fourth football season without carriage on No. 2 pay-TV operator DirecTV (NYSE: T).

This is indeed good news. Thanks for finding it and posting it. I did check and our game with Washington IS scheduled for live broadcast on the national channel. So, if you have Comcast or if you have friends that have Comcast you are all set in HD.
It's almost as if they read us all trying to figure out a way to watch the game via questionable means. Weird!
By the way, not that the performance during a Spring Game means that much, I just got done watching Washington's Spring Game on the Pac-12 channel and I was not impressed at all.

By the way... As a complete aside, the Rutgers vs Washington tv game on the pac12 network is the exact reason why the pac12, more than ever, the pac12 will again attempt to raid the big 12 and become more national and less regional

Your move, pac12

I wasn't going to give out this info until right before our Washington game but with the changes with Comcast it probably doesn't make any difference.

Here's a way to watch the Pac-12 Washington channel in 1080p using either your browser or media player.

Browser method: Enter the following URL in your browser and see what happens.
http://xrxs.net/video/live-p12wash-4728.m3u8
The browser should call up your default media player and hopefully you'll be watching live TV.

Media player method: <- recommended
I like to use VLC (versions for Windows, Linux and Mac OS are available)
Its ability to handle streaming is better than some other media players.
Download a copy at http://www.videohelp.com/software/VLC-media-player if you don't already have it.
Run VLC. Click on Media in the menu and you'll get a drop down. Click on
Stream. Click on Network. Fill in
http://xrxs.net/video/live-p12wash-4728.m3u8 where it wants you to enter
the Network URL. Click on the arrow where it says Stream. Choose Play on
the drop down. Enjoy!

Who scheduled this game? Was it Pernetti or Julie?

The point being, it's imperative that you understand carriage agreements and coverage footprints before you commit to a scheduled series. If 90% of your local fan base isn't going to be able to watch the game, then DON'T F*CKING SCHEDULE IT.

Except for one obvious issue: A major network (or ESPN) can choose to pick up an intersectional game such as this one. You can't assume they will or they won't, but they can. Moreover, there are about a dozen reasons why you schedule a game before TV in the visiting team's market comes up.

Sure, it sucks. But it's hardly a reason to grab the torches and pitchforks.

What no chili cheese dogs?
For sheer nostalgia, maybe they should be on the menu. Now my ideal scenario is to get a La Caja China and do a whole 30-40 pound little pig. I really want to do that at least once. In any event, even without the piggy, I'll do goat cheese stuffed bacon wrapped dates, the Amish sausage and bratwurst (I've got this amazing hot Irish mustard that is perfect for them), burgers and dogs, bacon and blue cheese potato salad, shrimp skewers and maybe I'll get a shipment of crawfish from Louisiana and make a crawfish boil...
