Streaming Washington game online options

Been using Kodi for a while randomly but just tried Fire stick -> Kodi -> Phoenix -> Pac 12 -> Washington feed and start to finish after booting it up probably took 45 seconds and it is streaming beautifully right now.
The fire stick allows you to watch the stream on a tv, correct? I can figure out a way to watch on my computer (I have before), but I've never tried playing the stream on my tv. Is the fire stick all I'd need? Any idea if the Google chromecast would work, too? Thanks for the info!

Chromecast will work, you need to use the search function on how to set that up.

Kodi works on the FireTV stick. You need to follow instructions (the 10 year old kid video posted somewhere) does the trick, as does the Phoenix TV download.

It is not a slam dunk to do yourself, but if you closely follow the instructions, it is not that hard to do and it works.

Yeah Fire stick plugs directly into your TV's HDMI port. You're streaming from the stick as it is plugged into your TV. You would just need to find the right input on your TV.

Chromecast would definitely work if you were streaming from your computer's browser. I don't know if you can use it to cast from Kodi...you can use it for other apps that it is built to work with (I know you can with Netflix) but not sure if Kodi is supported.

Chromecast works, have it running Kodi from my tablet. You can also do it from a computer.

As for the Amazon Fire stick, be aware that you probably won't get it by tomorrow if ordering through Amazon, but you should be able to pick one up at Best Buy or someplace like that.

For about the 25th time,

Here's a way to watch the Pac-12 Washington channel in 1080p using either your browser or media player.

Browser method: Enter the following URL in your browser and see what happens.
http://xrxs.net/video/live-p12wash-4728.m3u8
The browser should call up your default media player and hopefully you'll be watching live TV.

Media player method: <- recommended
I like to use VLC (versions for Windows, Linux and Mac OS are available)
Its ability to handle streaming is better than some other media players.
Download a copy at http://www.videohelp.com/software/VLC-media-player if you don't already have it.
Run VLC. Click on Media in the menu and you'll get a drop down. Click on
Stream. Click on Network. Fill in
http://xrxs.net/video/live-p12wash-4728.m3u8 where it wants you to enter
the Network URL. Click on the arrow where it says Stream. Choose Play on
the drop down.
For Android, I like to use MX Player Pro (get at Google Play). After starting app, click the three vertical dots on the top right. Then choose Network Stream and enter http://xrxs.net/video/live-p12wash-4728.m3u8. Hit Ok and the live stream should appear.

As far as Comcast/Xfinity, I have Comcast and I can watch the Pac-12 channel on my TV in glorious Standard Definition. When I load in the Pac-12 Android app into my tablet and enter my Comcast account and password it tells me that I don't have access to the Pac-12 channel on Comcast. Ok, I must be hallucinating what I see on my TV.
Cut out the middle man and just use the xrxs.net feeds directly.

I tried this URL a few weeks ago and I think the stream came right up on my browser. Now, it's giving me a Website is offline error. Is the feed down now? Anybody else getting this error?

The VLC media player option did not work for me. Followed your instructions exactly.

oh no... that website link is down!

Website is offline
No cached version of this page is available.

VLC worked perfectly for me yesterday. Today, no go! Grrrrrr

I think I will just pay for The Redzone package on Comcast, you get the PAC-12 network with that.

Urgh... I tried to sign up, but Comcast stupid website wouldn't let me...

I hope someone posts another link soon...

Tried xrxs on my android earlier today and it worked, just tried again with no luck. I will most likely be streaming on a MacBook, just tested xrxs and again no dice. Could you please provide this other link, or point me to the thread?
Sorry to hear about your problems. As I said, I've been watching the xrxs URLs since June sometime for long periods of time (60 minute game replays, hour long team previews, and ahh, cough, women's volleyball games) with hardly a pixel out of place. A lot has to do with the quality of your Internet feed and I, knock on wood, have been graced with very good Comcast cable. Did you try both URLs that will carry the game? I primarily use the Washington feed but I don't recall any problems with the National feed either.

Also, try clearing your cache on your media player/browser prior to loading up the feed.

This sucks! Tried all the above fixes, nothing works. It played beautiful HD yesterday!

Yeah the sites worked fine yesterday for that crappy S. Utah vs. Utah game now the site is off line.

Too many people clicking on it.

They knew something was up and shut it down or the system recognized it and took action.

Yeah, that's my guess.... No problem streaming the Pac 12 network all week long.... Just checked an hour ago and now it won't work.

Shiiiit!! They did it. They cut off the URLs. Good news though. The Kodi/Phoenix combination works. They just updated Phoenix today and it says in the changelog that they updated their scrapings which means they got the new addresses. So, either switch over to Kodi/Phoenix or wait for me to find the new addresses that they use. Unfortunately I'm busy with something else right now and so I won't get to it until later tonight. It'll be up before the game, I semi-promise.
