Just got my season tickets and it looks like my ticket for the Stripe the Birthplace game is wrong. Online, it clearly says to wear black in my section (144), but the ticket says to wear red. Anyone else's wrong or is this just a glitch with a couple people?

probably not. I would guess they want the entire student section in black as this was originally supposed to be the black out game.
When PSU did the stripe out at their game last year the student section was in white except for a small section of students in dark blue, strategically placed, so that they outlined a white S right smack in the middle of the student section. That S and the dark shirts surrounding it did not leave the entire game. It was pretty impressive.

I just got off the phone with Geoff Brown about this. The tickets for 144 are correct: Scarlet. The website was incorrect in saying Black & it has been corrected to say Scarlet. Since that section is near the students but not actually the students someone messed up a bit but its all correct now.
Check again Scarlet Dave. Mrs screw has connections that make things happen!!

All season ticket holders will be getting emails as we get closer to the GE reminding us about the stripeout & what color to wear.

What are the thousands of Michigan fans in the north end zone supposed to wear? Maize or Blue?
(Unfortunately, unlike 2 years ago when their #'s paled compared to those PSU, OSU, and Nebraska have brought (Wiscy gets a pass due to weather...), I fully expect a TON of Michigan fans at HPSS this year)

The hell of it is that anyone fan enough to be here is going to have it right on gameday -- even if they have to bring an extra shirt/jacket to the game -- but if there's confusion amongst the die-hards on the boards, it's going to be a sh*tshow for the casual fan.

Must say though, I almost wish they kept it as black for the full expansion side endzone.. Big games like this, the student section generally flows into the first handful of rows in 144--I'd hate to see half the section in black and half in red that night.

Definitely looks stupid. If they were going to do that with the student section then the north end zone should have been all red. Stripe the sidelines. Oh well. We will learn over the years

The blackouts have looked fine the past few years.
The first couple of years were bad, but you've got to start somewhere. The blackouts have become an event over the years, the games have been competitive against good competition so people have gotten into it lately. I don't even think you go to the games if that's what you think about the blackouts
OK people. Last year I went to the psu game which was the stripe out game. being the robots they are it worked perfectly. their student section was only white save for a group of kids in dark tee shirts that helped make a S in the middle of the section.

So in other words, it's easier to "correct" the website than it is to reprint tickets :grimace:
no, according to Geoff, who I spoke to personally, the section was always supposed to be Scarlet there was an error on the website. 131 is the other section that is part of the end zone but is not a student section was properly labeled as black and the tickets said the same.

No it doesn't. Makes sense to me if you make 144 red or black. But 132 and 142 should both definitely be black.
Word is circulating through the Michigan grapevine to wear only white or maize to this game as a prominent color in order to avoid the blue blending in with the black.

I know 7 individuals from Jersey who went to Michigan. They are all going to the game and bringing family. Because of the year they are supposed to have I think this will be the biggest visiting crowd at HPSS in recent memory.
Honestly I think something got messed up when the tickets went to print and that section ended up red. I just have a hard time believing that no one noticed for 4 months that section was black on the seating chart, website, emails, etc. and then suddenly 24 hours after tickets go out, it gets changed.
