Student Tickets Officially SOLD OUT for PSU Game, a week in advance

Is it going to repeat the PSU game in 1989?

Not sure if you mean the atmosphere, or just the game results, but if the former, there won't be an atmosphere like the A-10 Final in a long, long while. It will require us to be playing a top-shelf opponent late in the year, when we're both ranked, and playing for the regular season championship or something.

The A-10 final in 1989 was a "perfect storm" like the 2006 Louisville football game. A once in a decade type game and atmosphere (which hopefully will become more frequent!).

Is it because they put those prime 1st row seats along that baseline? Don’t want students to be right up on those people I guess. In any event it is stupid...looks so bad on TV

Are they on that baseline? I mean the cheer/dance teams cover about triple the space that they do at most other arenas lol!

Let's be honest here... they just want to chant "F- Penn State" lol

Yeah, that tape should be required watching at freshmen orientation -- need to show these young kids how to be college basketball fans. Wear red, have good chants, jump up and down, go crazy for 40 minutes, give the opponents' players hell. Etc.
nope god forbid our fans go after an opposing player, @zebnatto will faint

Also, it’s two way traffic lanes to and from seating & hospitality area. The floor area does get jammed up. You have camera & media personnel by sidelines. Security. I’m not sure students can get much closer. Wish they could. Section 118 (or part of it) would have been perfect to honor the riot squad or loudest frat/sorority, or another athletic team or a fundraiser, etc. Get creative.

I really hope the FU PSU chants aren’t the main focus. I think it makes RU look inferior, and I’d rather the MBB team speak for RU on the Court like they did at PSU the last game. Cheer ON the RU MBB team, not talk down to PSU. Just IMHO. I know the students want to have fun...then come up with really good, original chants! I have a feeling RU will just drown it out with music anyway. Your choice students. Step up YOUR game!! You’re BIG time now.

Go RU!

The bleachers use to be 5-feet from the baseline...but that’s an interesting concept for 118!!

I don’t think they had the hospitality back then. It created a traffic jam.

Have a sponsor for those Sect 118 seats to offset losing seat income for students. Video banner ads. Put them everywhere possible. I don’t know, get creative. Right now, area seems rather boring.

Go RU!

Wonder if those are the 300 level or the ones they were reserving for walk-ups.

There was insanely loud cheering 30 minutes before the 1989 State Penn game. The place was electric.

The RAC will never again rock like it did in the 89 final. Students behind the RU bench through midcourt, and students behind the basket all the way up, on fire for a win.
