Right, he's still questioning Crackers provenance. And still exaggerating critique with terms like hate, ripping, etc. The only person I saw that used the word hate was SJNJ. No one here said they hate Nick.Talk about moving onš³š³

Here we go againLol..wow ..talk about how to act ..you mean like you have being a supposed 2x All American and lying about stuff the way you have and called kids names ..yeah we are gonna take your advice on how an All American should act .
As other have stated I don't hate the SurianosLol..wow ..talk about how to act ..you mean like you have being a supposed 2x All American and lying about stuff the way you have and called kids names ..yeah we are gonna take your advice on how an All American should act .
Highest bidder hmmmm.. canāt really blame them then.. they gotta do whatās best for them financially.. I think most people would do the same but w/o all the fu and disrespect or w.e happened. As other have stated I don't hate the Surianos
I dont know where you're getting this idea that I do. What I do know is that you're a mentally unhinged wacko, who offers absolutely zero insight to any of the wrestlers abilities or progress. You still going on and on about the fact that I said I was this sophomore student, because I didn't want people to know who I was? If there's anybody who insults people it's you. People who usually do that, are cowards who have 0 achievements. And I'm not talking about wrestling. I'm talking about just in life. I stand by my convictions with the Surianos. They care for nobody but themselves, and are in the sport for financial gain. They went to the college that was the highest bidder.
I disagree with you. This whole niil thing is getting out of control. Theres got to be a point where you teach your kids that you have to love the sport regardless of financial gainHighest bidder hmmmm.. canāt really blame them then.. they gotta do whatās best for them financially.. I think most people would do the same but w/o all the fu and disrespect or w.e happened.
No way. You can hate the NIL thing but thatās not the athletes fault. How many of us here would pass up the opportunity for a significant pay increase to do the same job at a different company? Loyalty comes with a price.I disagree with you. This whole niil thing is getting out of control. Theres got to be a point where you teach your kids that you have to love the sport regardless of financial gain
Exactly. If we were in a better position to throw out money, no one would be complaining about it. The landscape has changed so our program has to adapt. If it benefits the kids then Iām all for it.If NS did go to the highest bidder, good for him. I just we would have had an NIL fund big enough to match it!
This is a little different. All the rhetoric of "coming home", "repping my home state", etc has gone by the wayside for $$. Amateur, collegiate athletics is quickly becoming a professional sport thanks to the NIL. That is what sours me most.Exactly. If we were in a better position to throw out money, no one would be complaining about it. The landscape has changed so our program has to adapt. If it benefits the kids then Iām all for it.
Yup. So for those who want to see Rutgers landing more elite wrestlers, good luck. Just remember you also think going to the highest bidder is a-okay. I'm old-fashioned and believe in things like loyalty. Doing the right thing is often not what is financially best for you. I've mentioned principle before and was criticized by people who didn't seem to understand the concept. This is a little different. Tbh I hope college wrestlers can make some money.. itās the toughest sport and, for many, after college thereās no more wrestling..This is a little different. All the rhetoric of "coming home", "repping my home state", etc has gone by the wayside for $$. Amateur, collegiate athletics is quickly becoming a professional sport thanks to the NIL. That is what sours me most.
I canāt speak for wrestling because itās not a top tier sport but many of the top football and basketball recruits were already going to the highest bidder. Just look at how many coaches and teams have gotten in trouble for recruiting violations. It happens annually. This is a little different. Yes, I know. Now it's just more transparent and in some cases makes me shake my head and throw up my hands.I canāt speak for wrestling because itās not a top tier sport but many of the top football and basketball recruits were already going to the highest bidder. Just look at how many coaches and teams have gotten in trouble for recruiting violations. It happens annually.
You have me confused with someone else. I am in your camp and have never said such a thing. The problem going forward, is society will accept this NIL stuff more and more and the honorable/loyalist mindsets will fade into the wind.Yup. Thatās true but you certainly canāt blame the kids for taking the best deal ..they donāt make the rules ..they just take advantage of them the same way any of us would ..you can say all you want about loyalty but thatās a bunch of crap especially now when a school would easily demote their starter if an All American wanted to transfer in ...where was the loyalty for Billy Janzer ...it works both waysThis is a little different. All the rhetoric of "coming home", "repping my home state", etc has gone by the wayside for $$. Amateur, collegiate athletics is quickly becoming a professional sport thanks to the NIL. I got you on part of this. They certainly don't make the rules, but in today's society will utilize the rules to their advantage. It is what it is, today's generation will chase the $$ in an amateur sport. Sounds kinda funny, right? As far as Jazer, I doubt Bulsak came to Rutgers for a high flier, NIL deal. He wanted to wrestle in the best conference against the best wrestlers. Bring in more competition. That's where Rutgers should be setting their sights. Bring in the best and let them fight for a spot. I'm all about competition, devotion to your team/teammates and loyalty. If this is Suriano, he just whored himself out to a midwestern team far, far away from "repping his home state" and "coming home to NJ". That's just me though.Thatās true but you certainly canāt blame the kids for taking the best deal ..they donāt make the rules ..they just take advantage of them the same way any of us would ..you can say all you want about loyalty but thatās a bunch of crap especially now when a school would easily demote their starter if an All American wanted to transfer in ...where was the loyalty for Billy Janzer ...it works both ways
No, it's me too but not with the same choice of words. If this is Suriano, he just whored himself out to a midwestern team far, far away from "repping his home state" and "coming home to NJ". That's just me though.
It is the way I worded it. While I replied to your post as in agreement, I then said "...for those who want...". I was addressing the disconnect between wanting blue-chip wrestlers at Rutgers while also supporting the monetization of talent. The NIL thing has definitely resulted in some unintended consequences and I predict it will get some needed attention and modification. If not, the talent imbalance will worsen and the kids' ethical values will be corrupted. You have me confused with someone else. I am in your camp and have never said such a thing. The problem going forward, is society will accept this NIL stuff more and more and the honorable/loyalist mindsets will fade into the wind.
You earn your right to compete, dumbbell! That doesn't mean they're entitled to be paid for it. You want to get paid and compensated graduate from college. Until then be humble and compete with honor. I come from the old school process you work hard and good things will come to you. If they don't you work twice as hard. Money and fame, doesn't cut it in my book.Thatās true but you certainly canāt blame the kids for taking the best deal ..they donāt make the rules ..they just take advantage of them the same way any of us would ..you can say all you want about loyalty but thatās a bunch of crap especially now when a school would easily demote their starter if an All American wanted to transfer in ...where was the loyalty for Billy Janzer ...it works both ways
Think a lot of us would ā¦No way. You can hate the NIL thing but thatās not the athletes fault. How many of us here would pass up the opportunity for a significant pay increase to do the same job at a different company? Loyalty comes with a price.
If Iām making 100k at a job and some other company comes in and says Iāll pay you 102k, well yeah Iāll probably pass on that assuming I like the place I work at. But if someone says hey come work for us, weāre going to give you 500k, Iād be gone before my shift was over. Thatās just life.
I wasnāt saying anything about an NIL deal for Bulsak ...itās was the loyalty thing guys here say the kids should have ...where is the loyalty from the school to a guy like Janzer etc ..thatās my point ..donāt knock a kid if he chooses a better deal and goes somewhere else when the team doesnāt show the same loyalty if they find someone they think is better and bring him in ....there is no right or wrong here ..itās the nature of todayās sports..I got you on part of this. They certainly don't make the rules, but in today's society will utilize the rules to their advantage. It is what it is, today's generation will chase the $$ in an amateur sport. Your just pissed they didnt offer you a better deal ...todayās sports is all about the money ..get over it ...the kid got a better deal ..enough said !You earn your right to compete, dumbbell!
