This reminded me of a first round NCAA tourney game, where the better seed barely escapes with a win and then advances at least 2 or 3 more rounds. Let’s hope this scare has us sharp and hungry against Purdue on Tuesday night.

Nebraska went on a 9-0 run early and I posted in the game thread, wouldn’t it be nice if Rutgers ever hit 3 three-pointers in a row to start a game. Well, all we did instead was hit 3 three-pointers in a row to end it !! 9-0 run at two right time! Great fight by these guys, this game went how many feared and we still won. 6-3 in the B1G !!!!!

If you’re gonna survive a scare like that you need those dagger threes for sure, but also those defensive stops especially those blocks by Myles.

If you didn’t realize Geo’s endgame threes was his prophetic “come back” like a movie script then idk what to tell you .. the brace off, the struggle all game, missed FTs even, and then the heroics in the end it’s like Ito’s FG in this our b-ball version of the 2006 season .. it doesn’t need to be “said” but yea Geo is back after that

Agreed. I remember he entered the Big Ten Tourney his freshman year in a prolonged slump, then hit some big shots in the Indiana game and exploded the following night against Purdue

Bingo. Win is a win is a win. We’re not jockeying for a one seed so I don’t care about style points right now. Play hard, keep winning, make history.

I hope that clutch 3 means that Geo is healed and his shooting game is back. Purdue on Tuesday and Michigan on Saturday are some big, winnable games that are key for our resume.
We should be favored in both of those games. It's time for a statement game against Purdue. We haven't beaten them since joining the B1G and they have had some beat downs. Rutgers takes their revenge this time.

I think you're right, Billy. Today's game showed them, if they didn't already know, that any team in this league can get you on a given night. They should be more focused for Tuesday after today's scare.

Who would have thought going into season that Rutgers would be favored against both Purdue and Michigan? RU has never beaten Purdue while in the big 10 (although Corey was a missed 1-1 away at MSG..) They have never beaten Michigan..

Exactly. BTW, No. 5 Florida State beat a bad ND team at home today by 1 point. A win is what matters. Don’t they fall in the rankings. Nor should we.
