With both the men (6-1) and women (5-1)off to nice starts, we have something to be happy about for a change with football finishing another dreadful season tomorrow. Not to mention the coaching debacle that is so Rutgers.
Have you met “us”?!!We had Pike half way out the door after St. Bonaventure..lol
Moorhead could fix that. [banana]Basketball is going to get ugly quick. Love Pike and the team, but the mental and physical toughness is just off with no Eugene this year - not to mention the lack of frontcourt depth will spell big trouble in the Big Ten.
We had Pike half way out the door after St. Bonaventure..lol
It’s what we do.We had Pike half way out the door after St. Bonaventure..lol
And will again the first time the kids don't play at peak performance. We had Pike half way out the door after St. Bonaventure..lol
He doesn't even have a winning record!Pike s**ks!!! How many conference championships has he won? How many post season tournaments? How many times has he beat West Virginia? How many New Years Day games has he played?
Why did we even want this guy?
:uzi::eek::cool2:[banana]:Basketball: :Hoops:

Rutgers basketball runs past UMass in tune-up for gauntlet ahead
Will this carry over as the Scarlet Knights enter a 10-day stretch with games against Pittsburgh, Michigan State, Wisconsin and Seton Hall? The optimist sees a group hitting stride at the right time, having played its two best games of the young season over the past week. The skeptic sees a squad that hasn't faced a quality opponent or a true road environment yet.

It is the APP. Maybe I should put quotes in. Sorry for the confusion. That reads like the APP writer is saying the stuff in that paragraph instead of you, Knight Shift

Speak for yourself - I hope for more than that! Two wins out of the next four would be as good as we could hope For.
I fear it won’t be that good

Nothing was done on purpose. Just neglected to include the quotes, which I added for clarity. I never really liked Carino's reporting on Rutgers. He is doing that on purpose just like someone else does on here.
Annoying isn’t it?

You do it by accident, the other guy makes it seem like it’s his thoughts.Nothing was done on purpose. Just neglected to include the quotes, which I added for clarity. I never really liked Carino's reporting on Rutgers.
Hoping Pike turns the corner this year. Love the guy's passion for the game and Rutgers. You do it by accident, the other guy makes it seem like it’s his thoughts.

Really? We had Pike half way out the door after St. Bonaventure..lol
I can agree with that.I go to the home games and always hope for us to win all games. So we both hope for the same, I should have said predict two wins instead
I understand your point, but the remaining schedule won't let them play that way. I've watched them and they look soft to me (which hasn't been the case with Gene). Pike even said it after a couple of games. These teams are going to run tons more size at them and wear them down as the season goes on, unfortunately we don't have enough shooters yet to play a true smaller ball/fluid offensive style against the good teams. The schedule isn't kind the rest of the way. Please come back and read your post in February. NIT - yes, still possible - but no way, now how NCAA. I hate to say it because I do like this team.Says someone that couldn’t have watched a single game....
...yeah they were getting blown out by a hot shooting Bonnie team but fought back to make it respectable but funny thing, they’ve been playing lights out defense lately and look a lot tougher than when Gene-I’ll-stall-the-offense-and-quit-when-recruited-over Omoruyi was here...
This years team is light years ahead of last years. Much better athleticism and defense.
