I emailed AD Pat Hobbs saying I want to go to both home games. I figure it would be easier to move the MLax gametime to 2:30 or 3pm and spend the afternoon on Rutgers campus watching Men's hoops beat Illinois and Men's Lacrosse beat a very good Brown University team.

With the proper promotion, we can have better attendance at both games, right? Hope he can make this happen. Send him an email or call him.

Hobbs also needs to make it so you get free admission for the lax game vs Brown with a ticket stub from the Illinois basketball game.

I believe all of our B1G games on are in BTN and the Hop game is on ESPNU or whatever.

Don't quote me on this though.

Either way, BTN is a huge game changer for our lax program. The B1G provides so much exposure.

There's no coincidence as to how much the B1G and BTN has helped the Olympic sports.
 
If the Brown game is indeed on BTN, maybe we can get the announcer NOT to give score updates....for those of us who want to watch it when we get home.

If the LAX game is on BTN, then it hasn't been announced yet, as I don't see it on sk.com or BTN.
 
I don't see any of the games listed as being on BTN but they definitely are.

Email has been sent to Pat Hobbs to move both events to Yankee Stadium. Great idea!

I floated this idea, get in free to the MLax game with an Illinois hoops ticket. I also threw out that there could be an optional B1G build donation with a credit card swipe (it needs to be simple).

I really hope this can happen.

This game is not listed on the BTN schedule for Saturday. The BTN women's basketball tourney is listed for most of the afternoon, after a mens bball game TBD at 2pm. Frnakly, it would surprise me if this was on BTN being that its an OOC game.

Of course, it would surprise me even more if the school were to alter its scheduling.
 
Yea looks like BTN2Go. Even so, not sure how is that is to alter from an RU perspective. I'm guessing they have a programming schedule.

Sure, there is a schedule. Doesn't mean there can be an accommodation to alter the schedule when there is a benefit to make a change.

Sounds like a BTN decision, not Pat's. I highly doubt he wouldn't make that change if it was up to him.

I would think BTN+ has more flexibility as it's akin to ESPN3 where you can basically pick your time for OOC games because it's an online streaming service. Hopefully, Hobbs asks.
 
Just got a reply from the athletic department, not sure if it's from Hobbs or not. It said they're going to look into that possibility, but it may be too late to change venues at this point.

Even so, there are only so many production slots available. You can't air every game all the time even streaming. Well, I guess you could, but that probably isn't viable. I am sure that time was chosen for a reason. There are other non RU games that will be aired too.

Probably came down to, if you want this game aired, play at 2:00. Or schedule it when you want.
 
Move the lacrosse to INSIDE The RAC right after the basketball game. Use a few less players.Rutgers has played there before (maybe they were exhibition games,can't remember). Cali,were you on the team when we played inside The RAC ?

I have never heard of the lacrosse team playing inside the RAC. I'm not sure that is even possible. We practiced there once or twice, but just ran and played hoops. You'd have to clear out the entire inside to have a lacrosse game in there, stands and all. Still not sure there is enough room.
