Conditions were very bad. Cold with gusting wind and steady, if not heavy, snow.

Their turnout was bad. So was ours. Didn't see some of the true diehards that usually hit the road. Though I don't recall any RU fans bailing out. Understandably can't say the same for the Spartan faithful.

When I was a mediocre high school offensive lineman I loved playing in slop games. Now, though well dressed and prepared for the conditions, I was pretty chilly in the stands by the end.

Maybe not the worst conditions I've sat through - but they were bad.

Only regret is the team didn't come over to sing the alma mater after. They did the important bit and understand if they wanted into the locker room. Schiano did come over to wave and thank the Scarlet supporters behind the bench.

Nothing like a victory to make a road trip fun.
