On the kick return I thought we’d fair catch it, or fall on it so our receivers could go out and try the circus. Yes it’s a low percentage play but Schiano has actually done it once before, Indiana 2020 (called back for BS forward pass).

Anyway, not complaining because this is something probably practiced once all year, if at all, in the preseason but just wanted to say this play was one of the most pathetic attempts I’ve ever seen. First, on the kickoff we have 2 fast guys and a bunch of blockers, not ideal time to do it but looked like one of our guys touched the ball so the clock started running and we had to try. Then, there seemed to be no actual plan in place, we basically lateralled across the field until we were in our endzone and then threw it out of bounds for a safety (this is why we lost 38-31 instead of 36-31). Again, I’m not saying I expected anything on that, but of all the circus plays you see across the country (maybe one per few weeks, if you watch enough football), that was the saddest I’ve ever seen.

Because we don’t have a glorious Fieldhouse with a golden Schiano statue and shrine in front to practice that in, ain’t that right Idiot Al of La Mancha du Schiano Jock Licker ?

Dave…pathetic as it was, it was much less abhorrent than the coaching that preceded that by two plays.

injuries.. we cannot have a cohesive return team and this specialized return play given all the injuries. Of all things, why would you take replacement players and spend valuable practice time on this?
