The F'ing Jets

Good...Joe and Evan were abusing some NFL analyst who said something bad about the jets. Pretty much calling him a dumb ass while interviewing him on their show.

Luv it. I hate everything that the NFL has become ( this coming from a long time former Giant season ticket holder) and especially like to see the NY teams suffer. Don't know why that is; I lived there for almost 60 years. Maybe I remember that most of the Giant and Jet fans I knew had no use for RU. Let em suffer.

On the last drive, play before the INT, the Jets were less than a hair's width of getting a TD. The ball was just barely bumped out of the receiver's hands and he had clear sailing for a TD for a Jets win.

He can't make a throw that is more than 15 yards. He should have not thrown that pass. It never had a chance for a completion to Decker. You don't throw in the middle when you have a weak arm.

Let the Byrce Petty era begin!!!

Hey, Fitz had a nice year. But, let's face it. There's a reason he's been on 6 different teams over the past 9 years. If the Jets are going to do more than just be a borderline wildcard team next year, they need more than Fitz can offer. Much more.

We've seen the last game of a really fine gentlemen in Tom Coughlin.
Enjoy the rest of your life sir

Here is why I think the NY Maras will make Brian Kelly the next coach:

'Kelly was born in Everett, Massachusetts, and was raised in an Irish AmericanCatholic family in Chelsea, Massachusetts.[1] He attended St. John's Preparatory School in Danvers, Massachusetts. His father was a Boston politician.[2] He was a four-year letter winner at Assumption College as a linebacker. After graduating from Assumption in 1983 with a bachelor's degree in political science he served as linebackers coach, defensive coordinator, and softball coach from 1983 to 1986.'

Not to mention he has been a big winner everywhere he's coached including ND, as Irish as BC.

I saw that same act from Pickspatrick far too many times with the Bills. He's always a battler, but for a Harvard man he does some dumb things on the field.

This was a bad season for football in NJ,both professional and college.

Hate to say it, but pretty much today is what I expected to happen. It was only a matter of time before Fitzsanity exploded, and with the drops, poor throws, penalties, and ridiculous 3rd and 4th down conversions from the Bills, this game looked about par for the course with the Jets needing a win to make the playoffs. What the hell was revis doing today?

The sad part is the Jets are better than the bills, and they lost two games to the bills that the bills desperately tried to give to the Jets and they just couldn't make a play when they had to.

Sorry, Fitz is not the answer, he had his chance to win a game they should have won to make the playoffs and couldn't do it. Time to move on, don't care who. Seen enough of these pathetic jet choke jobs.

Even though it only *seems* like it's been 35 million years.
Well of course it could only seem that way. Just like it only seems that men have the same number of ribs as women. Or feels like it. Or something.

NJ? As long as it's the NY Jets and the NY Giants, I have no obligation to either team. They represent NY not my home state and I don't care where they play. For me personally, I will absolutely root for teams with NJ in front of them. Otherwise I am personally free to root for any other team. (BTW, I no longer root for the BROOKLYN Nets).

Geology Trivia: Did you know that the very top of Mt. Everest was, at one time, the bottom of an ocean?

Ok geo fans... Mt. Everest was formed approx 60 million years ago. Did you know that the Uwharrie Mountains in central NC were formed 500 million years ago, making them among the oldest mountains on the planet? Once rivaling Everest in height, the Uwharries today top out at a mere 1100 feet, worn down by time and the elements. As an aside, the Uwharries are the setting for a good deal of spec op military exercises, from SF's "Robin Sage" to Delta's "The Selection."

Appalachian geology is one of the most controversial topics in the field.

Some would argue that in a sense, you're right - there is rock in the current Appalachian chain that is half a billion years old, but that the mountains containing that rock are not. Successive orogenies (the fancy term for mountain-building) have resulted in three different iterations of what we now recognize as the Appalachians, and some of the rock has been, in essence, recycled through all three.

It's fascinating stuff.

Also, the Poconos aren't really mountains. They are a westward-sloping plateau, the wasted remains of an earlier mountain chain which have been worn down by erosion to resemble mountains.

I agree, but I'm not so sure Tom is gone. Was at the game today and feel like if it was a done deal the Giants would have given him more face time for a send off. That didn't happen.

If the options are garbage bring back Tom but let's can Jerry R. Ernie A would come back if given the opportunity (or so I think)

Losing this game to the Bills is somewhat understanding. Losing at home to the Bills is where they lost the playoffs.

Can anyone give a sensible explanation for the conventional decision to not try to score at the end of the first half? The Jets had something like 25 seconds left and a timeout, and instead of trying to score, they ran one run up the middle and then let the clock run out. I get that it is unlikely to score with such little time remaining, but it's not as though a couple completed passes to march down the field is impossible. The idea seems to be that you don't want to risk a turnover and allow the other team to score. Well if that's your philosophy, why not just punt on every first down? The offense is almost always more likely to score than the defense, so why not even attempt to score?

Because they thought they would just score and win in the 2nd half. The Jets never trailed by very much, just needed one easy TD.

Rex Ryan has accomplished one and only one thing the the last 5 years, and that is keeping the Jets out of the playoffs.
And for that I'm sure the Bills are gonna give him an extension!

That's a darn good question. Was wondering that myself. He was playing Watkins like Watkins had cooties and he didn't want to catch them.

I'm wondering if maybe Revis has a hammy or ankle issue or something because he just did not look right today. Granted, Revis is not the player he used to be but he looked lost today.
