Did anybody witness the guy standing and screaming at Flood between Sections 125 & 126 during the 3rd quarter? The guy was screaming at Flood to put in Rettig but didn't stop there. He was calling Flood every name in the book and every other word was an obscenity. He was loud enough that a number of players and coaches turned around.

At one point a guy sitting nearby said something to him and the guy went even more ballistic. He started towards the guy like he was ready to fight him. The thing was the guy sitting there had a baby in his lap. Fortunately, security stepped between the psycho and the man with his baby.

This was no kid. He was easily in his 40's. If that guy is reading this, here is some sage advice. Seek help immediately before you kill someone or someone kills you.

Can't stand fans who use games to release their anger or yell because they are on a drunken tirade. The guy should just buy a punching bag instead of ruining the game for everyone around him. Next time, text security.

He wasn't thrown out because when security came in between the two and asked the man to move on, he complied. But it was simply startling that a man would be willing to attack a guy with a baby. The funny thing was I took someone to the game who hadn't been to a Rutgers game in years but who I used to go to Giants games with. On the way down I told him I preferred the college scene to the NFL because it was much more civil with far less drinking and fights in the stands.

When I read the thread title I thought you were going to describe a DIFFERENT guy, who had also lost his mind (and his voice, no doubt), from yelling at the refs. Now that I think of it, he was between 124 and 125, not 125 and 126, around row 15 on the aisle. Absolutely screamed his brains out for the second half of the fourth quarter and directed everything at the refs. Dude had a powerful voice, too--carried down to the field with room to spare.

Drunken Idiots + 55" Flat Screen TV's + Ticket License + Parking Lot Premiums + Climate Controlled Den + Beer an arms length away = Major drop off in attendance nation wide. College athletic departments will be forced to change their business plan within the next 5 years.

Good thing there are witnesses to the fact that I wasn't in the stadium yesterday. :grimace:

Sadly, Class is right. We have some great fans, but we have some dregs too. They are loud, obnoxious, and worst of all, don't know anything but think they do.

I know every fan base does, but that's a lousy excuse. Apparently we had one screaming loud enough at our head coach that other coaches heard, then looked willing to fight another guy with a kid.

I sit near the field in 103 and yesterday there were a couple dads (presumably) with about 6 kids who looked to be around 8-10 years old. There were also 8ish Wazzu fans a few rows in front of us. One of the kids went down and talked trash to them (while we were losing), then came back and appeared to get a high five of approval from pops. Embarrassing, and I hate to say I've seen stuff like this more than I'd like to.
