Big game Saturday, but Coach now has extra time. I would love to hear that he visited the former players who are in jail. If the complaints are true (& they probably are), Those kids made horrible decisions. They have to face the consqequences, which should include jail time and no re-entry as Rutgers students for most/all.
But they are also former members of the family. To me, it's important that the crimes and arrest be a low point in the kids' lives & that they rebound and live productive lives. Horrible decisions made by young men don't have to define them. Alternatively, the crimes will be a step down the road to lives of crime & tragedy.
I would love to hear that Coach flood reached out, told them they have to face the consequences of their actions - which means they won't return to Rutgers (assuming they are guilty of severe crimes), but also that he will try to help them turn their lives around if they are interested.
