Since the ncaa does not allow scrimmages with another team, how does joint practices sound with an outside team?Personally I like that idea.

UCF's Coach O'Leary proposed a few months ago that Div I-A Football Teams should be able to host a Spring Scrimmage vs another Div I-A Team instead of an usual worthless Spring Game against their own players that they have been practicing against for the past 14 practices.

He said whatever $$$ are raised from a Spring Game Scrimmage vs another team should go to charity. Have regional teams that don't play each other that upcoming season (i.e. Rutgers vs UCONN, Rutgers vs Temple, etc...), where teams can take bus rides generally to play each other.

It was brought up a few years back, that someone wanted to allow schools to play other schools in their home state in spring games, including FCS.

But that went nowhere fast.
