People keep citing Miami as "long and athletic", but I think athletically we match up fine with them and because we can't shoot the 3 much either I think this is a game of fouls and attrition and I have faith in the team to sink some foul shots. Defense wins the game late in addition to a couple 3's each from Thiam and Williams. Sanders has his best game of the year. Prediction has some bias for sure, but we actually match up with Miami and while this doesn't mean we will win 8 games in the Big Ten or anything, I feel like this will get the RAC going again. Go RU!

Per KenPom.com, Wisconsin (20.4 percent), Rutgers (20.5), Purdue (21.2), Iowa (21.4), Illinois (21.9), Michigan State (22.2) and Indiana (23.4) have all committed turnovers on at least one-fifth of their possessions. That's half the conference. Only three teams (Minnesota, Nebraska and Northwestern) are ranked within the top 100 in offensive turnover percentage. Remember this stat throughout the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.

I see us being within 10 with 10 to go. Not enough firepower to cut the gap to 1 possession. Miami makes FTs.
One factor that concerns me about is Laurent and Sanders trying to do too much.

Could be more a function of playing against zone. Jonathan is VERY important to a team that thinks it can win 6-7 B1G, Mia, or SHU games.
Laurent vs Hartford was horrible...2 lazy passes resulting in TO's and he's shooting too many 3's...that's not his game...he's a driver...I like Laurent a lot but he needs to stay within his limitations.

Agree, Miami is a top team too, it won't be close but it will be a good experience for RU as they lead up to the all-important 12/23 road game @ SHU.
