THE OFFICIAL RUTGERS-MICHIGAN PREDICTION THREAD

We’re about to find out how much of a difference Dylan and EO might have made in the first game.

If this were at the RAC, I’d pick RU for sure.

Since this is on the road, I’ll pick RU anyway:

RU wins 70-69.

The only way Rutgers has a chance of winning is for Bailey to score at least 25 points. His lack of shots in recent games doesn't inspire confidence.

Michigan 71 Rutgers 66

Hopefully, Pike steals Nebraska's defensive game plan but doubt it. Expect Michigan to bounce back to score at least 80 so Ace and Dylan probably need to put up 50-55 and we need other players to contribute 30. Possible but unlikely. Michigan 80, RU 65. As soon as we see signs of life from our team, they bring us back to reality:(

Michigan 75 Rutgers 66

Michigan 73, Rutgers 69

That spread seems insane to me (9.5). Michigan hasn't won a game by double digits since pre-MLK weekend against Washington.

This is Michigan's third game in 6 days, they're not a deep team to begin with and two rotation guys were out on Monday.

Michigan is very good on defense but their strategy is to allow a lot of mid-range shots and deny the 3, and Rutgers can actually take advantage of that with Harper and Bailey who can create as well as anyone.

All of that suggests a game closer than 10 points.

I'd be pretty surprised if Rutgers actually won, but I'd be more surprised if Michigan covered.

However, Michigan needs to find its offense. Rutgers obviously isn't very good defensively but if Michigan fails to take advantage a second time against Rutgers' defense, it will likely lose.
