THE OFFICIAL RUTGERS-OHIO STATE PREDICTION THREAD

if you don't have anything good to say, say nothing
Hope that means not posting anything in this thread for those who have nothing good to say in it.
I will say is the sky shouldn't be falling before game starts and every RU fan should hope for blue skies , even if they think there might be some dark clouds blocking that view.

Goodbye, Columbus. Hello, New Brunswick. Since RutgersAL is apparently on hiatus (?), here we go....

RU runs at OSU with surprising success through three quarters. Limits turnovers to just one juggled pass that results in an INT. But OSU suffers a miscue or two itself on both sides of the ball, squandering opportunities. Laviano makes a half-dozen critical throws. Grant runs back a punt for a TD, and a pair of long KO returns results in points for the Knights.

Tight game. The 4th quarter sees OSU rally, down by six to take a one-point lead late. And then there's the magic: a jaw-dropping 45-yard return by Grant on the ensuing kickoff, followed by a couple of nice runs by Martin and James, and a bubble screen to Carroo gets the ball in close. Chip shot, redux. RU kicks yet another game-winning FG.

Do you believe in miracles? Believe. RU 29, OSU 27.

OSU - infinity; rutgers - 3. Flood let the clock run down to 3 seconds and then kicks a field goal to avoid a shut out.

I'll go with 41-20 OSU but I am all for the B1G time upset. Joey Bosa on Denmann is going to be a killer for us. Could single handedly ruin our shot.

62-56 RU we have an offensive explosion along with STs TDs, win the TO battle and defense holds on enough to win.

Chip with Bergen and Flanagan. Laviano is mobile enough to move around the pocket, and run through when it collapses

Not nearly crazy enough if you're filling in for Al. Didn't he predict like a 56-28 Rutgers win last year?

If Carroo is healthy it can be close. If not can be a disaster. The entire offense just plays better when the other teams defense has to pay attention to him.

I think RU keeps it close. Too close for OSU's liking. But at the end its an OSU win, 37-30. This will give us momentum for the rest of the season as we pull off some unexpected wins (including Michigan).

RU 41
OSU-38..

Lets do this!!

Before 53,819....

Federico at the gun from 53 into the south end zone goal post

Rutgers 38
Ohio state 35

62-56 RU we have an offensive explosion along with STs TDs, win the TO battle and defense holds on enough to win.

Rutgers 41 Ohio State 35:cool2:
Just a fun fact for these particular predictions. In program history, Ohio State has lost ONE game when scoring 35 or more points. Now, that did happen to be under Urban Meyer...but still it's pretty long odds for scores like these. [winking]

So you are saying there is a chance

RU-34 OSU-31
OSU has only played one away game and that score was OSU-34 Indiana-27, and we beat Indiana. The first away game OSU played doesn't count since VTech wasn't really ready. And does OSU think they will need to work hard to win this game? Probably not. This is the trap.

LOL too funny. Wasn't ready? They should have asked for a do over I guess. [roll]

The Indiana game shouldn't count either because they lost their starting QB. Hawaii had to fly across 5 time zines, no way they could be ready for that. JT Barrett played most of the game against Northern Illinois, since Northern Illinois prepared for Cardale, that one doesn't count either. Maryland was firing their coach. So when you think about it, this is really like Ohio State's 3rd game.

Now that I think about it, this is probably the first real test to see if Ohio State is actually a pretender. :-) lol joking around but I stand by my prediction.
