Penn State shot 80% from the 3 point arc tonight and 60% overall. If Rutgers shoots 33%, they may lose by 30+ on Saturday.
For perspective, though, it has taken Chambers six years to get the Lions to this point, and he only recently was successful in recruiting Philadelphia HS players.

That's the problem. Seem like teams rise from the dead when they play Rutgers. I'll be ecstatic winning one of the next 2 games on the road.
Hear me out: We are catching them in between games against Ohio State and Michigan state, They are on one day’s rest, We arent (and shouldnt be) scared of the bryce jordan center atmosphere. They are similar to use in that they also get a big majority of their points inside. They are a team that likes to bang down low and make it ugly. If they dont come to play given the first couple factors i stated, I think we steal one in State college for the second year in a row.

if PSU was playing at the RAC thats where they would be suffering a letdown...coming back home off a big win is usually the formula for a rousing win

Am I crazy for thinking that we fit better vs a team like Penn state? MSU is #1 in the country in 2p defense and #1 in the country in block %. Penn state is good at interior defense but I think we keep it closer vs a team that wants to bang down low than vs teams that get a majority of their scoring from 3 point distance (Michigan, Purdue).
Dont get me wrong, Penn State can shoot well from 3. They were 11-14 vs Ohio state and if they shoot like that again then we wont have a chance. But Michigan state can also shoot 3s. Its just that we match up better with teams that dont shoot alot of them (penn state is 305th in 3p attempt per field goal attempt, MSU is similar). Michigan and purdue both get alot more of their points from 3 then teams like us, penn state, etc
I think defensively we can slow PSU down....I dont expect a track meet and it should be low scoring no matter how it turns out...the problem is PSU plays pretty tough D and thats where we are going to have an issue with our awful offense. Unless RU is having a shoot the lights out rare offensive kind of day I see us getting worn down...

Foul Stevens, and Wheeler in late minutes to put them on the line if need be.
Challenge Sanders to shutting down Carr. If Sanders fails the challenge, put Baker on Carr. He will give high effort.
