Just posted a you tube video. I like those you can skip through the two minutes of crap and get the commitment real quick [cheers]

Not that Rutgers was a consideration here, just some news from a "formerly local player"

Oh and btw Pitt just announced two commits, including a PSU flip..big day for them as well.

Thanks for the link.

Honestly really glad about this. We knew he wasn't coming to RU weeks ago, so I was over the whole "leaving NJ" thing. So, given that he had to go somewhere else, and a lot of signs were pointing to Michigan, I'm so glad he picked OSU instead. OSU is always going to be really good, with Urban there it doesn't matter who they have so might as well give them the best anyway so they don't go to other places helping those schools. Also, I really hate UM now (almost as much as PSU) because of most of the same reasons, so many players from NJ going there, them starting the #NJ2AA hashtag on twitter. So I'm especially happy that the past few days he's been retweeting all kinds of UM things on twitter, making them really excited, and then commits to their hated rival. Go Bucks on that one

Narduzzi doing work at Pitt. Crazy if our AD really passed up on him because he figured Ash was a better candidate

It's more about the Rutgers brand vs the Pitt brand. Even with recent success aside, a casual observer views Pitt more favorably than the R. The reason Rutgers found success is because Schiano became bigger than the program - well, he became the program. His success brought positive perception. Rutgers sports need figure heads to succeed. Whether they grow into one on the job, or get hired after developing that persona, it's what we need.

Pitt...really...not since Wanny left...Pitt is no more a brand than us in recent yrs..less so...coaches run from there...you don't run from a brand...Now Narduzzi...he's the program's brand it seems...him and Rhule are doing work..i'm a little disappointed in CA early..

^ Wasn't saying that in 2015 when Pitt finished with the 66th ranked class. With 15 recruits and an average star rating of 2.8. Eerily similar to someone else's we know. Only our guy can coach.

Paying better this year.

Narduzzi has had a full year plus to recruit kids and form relationships.

That is the only difference since Ash just got the job.

Ash will out-recruit Narduzzi going forward each year as long as Narduzzi doesn't leave Pitt which is a stepping stone job.

This will show up in the 2017 class.

Oh ok.. So Ash is gonna sign a top 30 recruiting class next year? Because Narduzzi has a top 30 - 35 class right now

We will find out. What we don't need to find out is he had the 66th ranked class last year.

You're trying to hard. Let the game come to you.

Yeah I will say Ash will have a top 35 class next year. Based on what you ask? The Oden flip is enough for me. You cannot use this class as an indicator...he's been here 2 months. Urbans first class at Utah was ranked 90th. Brian Kelly at Cincy? 90th. Tom Herman at Houston? 90th. Remember, it's not head football recruiter its head football COACH. Let the man coach a practice let alone a game at RU and let's see on the field results before we crucify him. Even If we go 5-7 next year but show marked improvement vs the better teams Ash will kill it in recruiting in 2017.
