He is about 25 years old making $600,000 this year with an additional $75k signing bonus and he doesn't have to get his uniform dirty. I wish him a long career even if it is sitting on the bench. Not many I know made that kind of $$$ at his age.
This is the definition of a loser attitude. I'm sure that Tom does not share it it.

Won the starting job 2 games ago but because of NFL concussion protocol not playing today.
edit: RUtix pointed out it was 5 games ago ( not 2) . Tom missed the last 3 and this one because of a concussion

well he would have earned it by starting two games after being made the starter and having to sit this one out because of a concussion he sustained in his 2nd start.
Tom replaced the Houston starter in their Jacksonville game on Dec 18 and won the Texans starting QB position based on his play that game.

I cringed every time he completes a pass in the NFL. On the thought of what could have been.:(

Really, people.. there was no need to call anyone a loser here. Just saying he is earning $600K plus is not to say Savage should be, or is, satisfied not playing... its just to point out that in the world of things to be concerned about, Tom Savage is doing okay. And until Savage has a bad game... his value has improved and he will be paid accordingly.. or he'll get a shot elsewhere.

I got a little mixed up and said he won the starting position 5 games ago then started 2 games and then was out the last 3 regular season games.

If you are in the NFL, you want to play...And unless one of the big stars, every game you are not playing hurts you down the road.
I don't remember if he did or not as a freshman. You may be thinking about 2010, his 2nd year when he went out with injury and Dodd replaced him.
