The only horse in the history of college football to be hit with a penalty, almost costing Rutgers a game against Army. We missed the XP after the penalty pushed it back 15 yards, leaving RU precariously ahead of Army, 16-14. Fortunately, Army missed a 50-yard FG at the end which would have won the game for them. Fans got unruly despite the win, throwing beer bottles at the horse and its handlers after the game.

Lord Nelson lived to the ripe old age of 42, ancient for a horse.

Excellent story in nj.com. I had never heard about the root cause of the horse's unexpected gallop was that the extra point net got all tangled up.
