From 1989-2014 rank the top 5 WRs that played on the Banks. My list is:

1- Kenny Britt
2-Leontee Carroo
3- M Sanu
4-Jimmy Guarantano
5-Mark Harrison

Britt had all of 2 red zone TDs in his career. Sanu had near 20 (including runs) as I recall.Britt was never really a physical WR vs DBs Sanu could fight off two DBs .Britt also used to make a lot of body/arm catches more than hand catches (which Sanu was very good at). Like Underwood most of Britt's yards were between the 20's. Sanu was much better than Britt..

Sanu is definitely #1 (for now). LC could move into that spot with another quality year. I would put TB on this list over MH.

Wow; surprised that many think Sanu was better than Britt. Sanu was a physical receiver who snatched the ball from the air but Britt just took the top off the defense. How many times did Britt take the ball on a slant and run 40 yards or just catch a bomb behind the DBs?

#1 Britt most yards by 500+ #4 tds and receptions most 100 yard games

#2 Sanu most receptions #4 in yards great hands not in the top 10 in receiving tds 2nd most 100 yard games

#3 Tres Moses solid in all stats

#4 Jim Guarantano

#5 Chris Brantley

others Underwood and T Brown

More over LC is better than Sanu was at getting wide open. Sanu was adept at fighting for the ball but it seems that LC doesn't have anyone within 3 yards whenever he gets the ball.

"#1 Britt most yards by 500+"

Britt also played when Ray Rice was focus of defense (and Tiquan was other WR) and RU had a very good OL where QB had time to make long pass. Britt's bread and butter play was running down the sideline and having ball dropped into extended arms. Sanu played when there was no running game, the OL sucked big time and QB position was in constant turmoil.

1 Sanu
2 Britt
3 Carroo
4 Brown
5 Moses

Don't forget we threw the ball to Sanu in just about every 3rd down and in every big spot and he caught it every time. Sometimes triple teamed. Everyone knew he was getting the ball and he still caught it.

I know this is for WR but Leonard is ahead of Carroo in receiving yards. Lol. And people left him off the top 5 running backs and he is 5th in rushing yards.

Carroo is clutch (TD's) almost never drops the ball, but he is not even close the top ten in yards.

as great as caroo is i think the staff should have redshirted him his freshman year. from a WR perspective, it was a lost season. the 478 and 1086 rec yards he accumulated as a sophomore and junior were good but would have been phenomenal for a rs freshman and rs sophomore. he'll finish in the top 5 statistically for catches and yards but was by far the best overall WR we've ever had.

I don't know if redshirting him would have gained him any additional years at Rutgers, though. Even with a RS year, I think he was destined for 3 years on the field at WR before moving to the NFL.

Carroo will most likely end up #2 in career yards and is already #1 in Receiving TDs

This. The only question that I have, is whether he should have gotten more game reps at WR as a true freshman.

Bingo! Since he was not redshirted he should have probably been starting or at least top 3 on the depth chart at WR his true freshman year. The guy can obviously play.

Debate over redshirting Caroo freshman year misses the point he would have been gone after next year regardless whether he redshirted or not. By not redshirting him, we gained the benefit of his special teams play.

1- Kenny Britt
2-Leontee Carroo
3- M Sanu
4-Jimmy Guarantano
5-Tres Moses

Sanu was great but not a gamebreaker (like Britt and Carroo). Sanu only averaged 10 yards per catch throughout his career.

Gaurantano was a stud and obviously genetically superior. The first Guarantano RU Hall of Famer but not the last!

This is like comparing apples and oranges. Particularly like finding the top 5 RB's in the last 10 years. Well, obviously, Ray Rice would come in first on that list. But, who has stood out on THESE PARTICULAR OFFENSES in that same time frame? Finding the best WR's in the last 25 years is even more difficult.

I think that there were the "Teel years" (some of the most productive offenses in Rutgers history) where you had Britt and Underwood both going over a 1,000 yards in the same season, and the "everything since the Teel years," when - last season, for example - you had only Carroo going over 1,000 yards because there has been so much more emphasis on re-establishing a dominant running game.

Britt is second on the list in TD's and that's with him having played at the same time as Underwood, Rice, and Harris. Look at how many OTHER offensive weapons that is! Since the ball is getting distributed so much more, his opportunities diminish and so do his stats (relatively speaking). Imagine if he was the only standout offensive target! Carroo, by comparison, is living in luxury as he is the #1 receiver on the team - by a long shot - and the favorite of the starting QB of the last four years. I think that if Carroo played with Britt and Rice, his stats would look different.

I don't think you can say one WR is better than another based on stats. Who are the best based upon their play? I would say that Carroo is definitely in the top 5. So is Sanu. So is Britt. So is Tres Moses. So is Underwood. Probably Guarantano. And one or two others. I might have Mark Harrison and Tim Brown on the next tier.

Carroo should pass Tim Brown, Well when he actually passes Tim Brown until then.........
