Top 7th/8th/9th Grades New Jersey Football Players Site

As a retired teacher of middle school kids, this really concerns me. I know stuff like this is common in football is King places, but I don't see this as a great thing for kids so young. We already see HS seniors who can't handle the attention without going down to this level. Then we wonder why so many physically talented youngsters put all of their energy into sports instead of books.

That is the saddest thing g I've seen in a while. Some of those kids are 9 years old with iOS including their height and weight. Some a hole is charging parents to go to a middle school combine for scouts to see.

Most likely you should blame the parents. all being minors, I would imagine that parental permission must be giver to post pictures and stats of minor? Am I wrong?
And yes let kids be children for a while, not ranking before HS i.e.9th grade. This whole recruiting ranking is so out of control. With much of it being Bull $hit. Watch Ash as he is picking up PWO, that are sleepers and in 3-4 years will be playing against the 4&5 stars and holding their own. It is heart in college that makes the differnce

It's really only a write up on how kids performed at some combines... Just basically an article summarizing some kids.

Hey I have a 15 month old nephew that I'd like them to take a look at.
My grandson is in the 95% in height and weight and 99% head size for his age. But at 3 years old I am going to keep him under wraps for a least a year or so, at least until I can get his 40 time.:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

it depends..my kid is only in first grade but loves going to camps. he will go to any camp that will wave the age requirement(many start in 4th grade). He loves to learn about football, enjoys "competing" with the older kids, thinks its fun and it's better than sitting around playing video games. That being said, I hope parents of these super young kids don't think because you impress in 4th grade you are going to get a scholarship.

I have extended family members (wife's side) that have kids attend these type of camps. The oldest kid started attending in 5th grade and he is now in 8th. The second started this past year in 6th grade. Both kids play youth football and according to the parents they are "very good". They even sent the kids to PA to play in a youth all star game. The problem is that the parents don't have money. They call my wife, and other family members, each year to sponsor their kids for these activities.

They live in NJ and the HS football program in town is very good. My feeling is if they play for a good HS program and stand out they will get noticed. I think they are being taken advantage of by these youth camps. The youth camps, like this one, target people without money into thinking they can help them get scholarships. if they are standing out in HS, they can attend camps in So. And Jr season so other schools can see them.
