This. I abandoned hope a long time ago for this season, so I’ve been enjoying the games.
This season was different. We were talking about a deep tourney run and not batting an eye before the season.
Not watching and don’t care but that’s me. It’s not like it used to be imo. If rutgers was relevant yeah I’d be sucked in but with nil and transfers every year doubt i will watch much if any of the tourney this year. I know I’m probably and outlier.
I was thinking of posting the exact same thing but given my despair of how this season unfolded, was too depressed to type it out!!

Finding it tough to watch college basketball and it has absolutely zero to do with Rutgers. All due to pay for play and unfettered free agency. Not the same.
First time I've checked the board since we lost and haven't watched a second of hoops since then either. When we're not good (and especially when we do a lot worse than expected), my interest goes way down. The only reason I'll likely even watch the selection show is my buddy Adam Zucker is now hosting it with the passing of Greg Gumbel. When we've been good and made the tourney or even just missed on occasion - or even when we simply overachieved (like Pike's 3rd year with the MSG run) I would watch much more.
When we got screwed two years ago, it was tough. We were so bad this year, it doesn’t even bother me.
Turn on the Big East championship. These kids are all getting PAID, but they play hard and play together.
I’ve taken those two days off almost every year (I can’t think of one I did not). The only year I wasn’t into it was two years ago when we got hosed.
Watching St John’s play defense for 10 minutes in the second half, after watching Rutgers this year, it was like watching a different sport
Nothing can happen without a president and AD. Pikiell deserves the chance to turn it around. But I hope we get a strong AD. Next year should be enormous for Pike. The rope shouldn’t be that long
I watched and agree very entertaining. Great coach who will keep most of his players and restock with great players thanks to his billionaire backer. Swell. Wish Carnesseca was around to ask about the new game.
This is so true. I went to watch my daughter cheerlead at our high school's state tournament game. I swear they ran more motion on offense than I've seen from Rutgers in Pike's entire tenure here. I'm not joking either.
And then........
Big East has the best atmosphere by far of any conference tournament. Great event.
When I watch some of these teams I can’t help but t be impressed and they would destroy us . Their offenses are so much better , the play by their big men are night and day compared to us and of course the D I see much better . We are so far from that level right now. Next year is a total mystery.
Agreed we are maybe a top 100-150 program right now. The gap has only been growing .
