Never ever ever again will I approach the RAC lots from Randolphville/Suttons.

Tried to get there for 6:30, missed my intended departure time by 5 min, ended up parking in the far reaches of the lot at 7pm sharp and missing the first few minutes of the game.

Almost yelled out my window asking a guy if I could hitch a walk with him.

And even when it is in session, it's where to park, especially when you have a bunch of spare faculty parking passes, lol. Haven't paid for parking ever and have never had any traffic on the back way out (by the DMV to Plainfield Ave/27) to Metuchen.

Eric - not sure if you're aware but you were on the scoreboard last night during a timeout.

He'd tell you but he'd have to kill you. Seriously, it's not that hard to figure out if you're even a little familiar with Livingston. Even if you're not, it's pretty obvious.

Ive actually got what basically amounts to premium choice parking for a few games, better than most paying for it.

I came in the back way and sat in traffic for like 5 minutes at 6:30. I parked near an exit so leaving was even quicker!

Was anyone else stuck in the middle of the yellow lot (C1/C2) last night? All of the cars around me literally didn't move an inch for 15 minutes, both in the long aisles as well as the crosspath leading to the Hospital Rd exit. I don't know what the major malfunction was, but something was really screwed up.

On a side note, there was one guy who was yelling at the parking attendant on the other side of the lot. He then got out of his car at the exit and shoved the parking attendant a couple of times, and had to be pulled away by who appeared to be his girlfriend. Even then he couldn't shut up and just drive and almost started up again. Crazy stuff.

Hope that guy was arrested.

I was. I sat there for 10 minutes but was able to make a U turn back towards the RAC. After that I was out in less then 5 minutes. No idea what was going on at that other exit but it didn't move at all.

They changed the traffic pattern coming in from that direction. Hospital road was closed off. Had to bob and weave to get to green lot...not cool Rutgers. Stay with one traffic pattern for all games please.

Please do not park in the Livingston Health Center.
BTW...Is the health center the reason it’s called Hospital Road and can we just change it to Rack Road or something....

Was working a student job for Facilities department right after RU got a portion of Camp Kilmer. It was pretty cool with all the old army buildings, watch towers etc. Still using some of the old buildings like the warehouses, the old officers club, etc

When will the parking deck be opened? Do you think that will help with the traffic?

I park in the parking deck at metropark sometimes. if you think parking and exiting is bad now for those open spaces... parking deck exiting is 100x WORSE. there is usually only 1 or 2 ways out of the deck.

Agree that $10 for yellow is very reasonable and usually convenient enough.

I see that you can buy yellow lot parking on line in advance for $10. Is there some advantage to buying online over just showing up with $10 in hand?

The traffuc patterns and traffuc is awful. I know RU is at the behest of police enforcement of road closures. However, this needs to be looked and an improved. It's really a joke.

The hospital road way was the most direct way for me in the past, but knowing they close it at times, I just come in from the opposite side I don’t think they announce
When the hospital entrance is open or closed anymore. Unless it is on a site I am not familiar with

All these years RU still haven't figured out parking on game day. SMH. How they ever thought they could have an arena in New Brunswick?

To RU's credit they do a decent job exiting.

I think they should have two lanes going in on Hospital Road. The left lane for those who don't have passes and the right lane for Green/Yellow passes. Maybe have one lane coming in on Sutton for those with passes and force the others around the corner (this would allow people to still exit from the Health Center or parking lots). There should be some advantage for those with physical passes, especially season ticket holders.

That’s the way out of the RAC I drove to Middletown. Once you’re away from the RAC behind Kilmer it’s an easy ride w/o traffic past Edison train station and RT 27N to GSP. The traffic on the other side of the Rac can be brutal.
