Saw on Twitter that he may be talking to Pitt. All it takes is a good showing by your team to get noticed. AD's think if a coach can get a team with lesser talent to play so well what happens when he gets better players.

Stranger things have happened... I remember the Florida Gulf Coast turning a tourney run into the USC job.

Odom was headed to ECU once his team's season ended, but his name is popping up elsewhere. I don't expect him to be the top choice at Pitt.

Andy Enfield has done well at USC.

If Odom can get out of going to ECU he better do it. ECU is a graveyard for basketball coaches.

There is no question he is moving on. When you are at a school like UMBC, you need to strike while your name is hot and build from there.

UMBC should get a nice windfall from the contract buyout. They are already trying to give him as much money as they possibly can.

He has to get out now... There is no guarantee he call come close to this performance again.

It is ridiculous to chase a hot coach after a short conference and NCAA tourney run. Reality check on Jan 21, UMBC 39 Albany 83. Same coach.

While this is true, UMBC has won 46 games in Odom's two seasons there.

Over the previous SEVEN seasons, they won a total of 41 games. It's been a remarkable turnaround. If he stays at UMBC then they'll be competing annually with Vermont the way Pikiell used to do with Stony Brook.

Or a run by Robert Morris turning into an RU job?

If UMBC pays him more than $150k per year I'll be very surprised.

People keep pointing to that game but not how he coached them to a 12-3 record since then, including a 68-60 win over Albany.

Some may view this as a positive for the coaching turning around a team losing a game 83-39 and then making the NCAA tournament plus advancing.

But Enfield has done a heck of a job at USC so far. They will be dancing soon enough.

RU used to beat them on an annual basis ...
