Thanks.. I was not sure what a blue shirt was.. seems to me like a good deal for a coach/program.. a way to end up with more than 25 new players a year from now (and have them practice for a season before that).

All SEC teams do it. Nick Saban has mastered it. People don’t realize that most of the time, our defense has alot of older guys who where 5 stars in talent but 2 stars in the classroom. We are talking 23 yr old kids as redshirt juniors playing.

Once I read this I quickly understood how exactly the SEC and players like Ohio St and Michigan played and mastered the rules to their benefit. Looks like a teaching Schiano may have picked up under Urban.
