Unreal. I have a pledge amount that I have to pay, and I phoned the University Foundation, because the website isn't clear as to how to direct my gift to the fund for which I have made my pledge. The foundation phone line has an message that "All University Foundation staff is out of the office today for an event in Camden."

They give a number to call if you need anything athletics related, but its still a bit ridiculous. They should have people there to assist on this big giving day. Its an important day to make a good impression.

PS - Is there a way for me to correct my typo in the subject line??

It's odd to be closed on the last giving day for FB donations but they seem to have coverage with the other # they gave you. Isn't the website pretty straightforward as you identify the specific fund, program, etc.?

To edit your title, just click the tool in the title field & edit.

Unfortunately, I called the other number, and that also went straight to voicemail. It just seems like a lost opportunity for the school to get one on one with people who are trying to donate. A great opportunity to ask people to increase donations, make them aware of new programs, and generally be available to answer questions and build relationships. It seems like common sense that today is not the day to be absent.

My specific issue is that when you go to the pledge page, they give you an option to allocate a percentage or dollar amount to all the major sports and funds, and then at the bottom there is a spot where it says "If you've selected "Other" please specify the fund" and there is a box to write in something else. But there is no "other" tab. So even if you write in a fund, it rejects your pledge and says "please select a sport".

My pledge is to the Coaches Wrestling Fund, which was the new fund formed this spring to bring in more SKWC/Olympic trainee wrestlers, so if no one calls me back by lunchtime, I guess I will just check "Wrestling" and let them sort it out. But part of the point in the gift is that I don't want them using it for other purposes even if they are wrestling related. I want them to bring in these RTC guys to help our team out, and to help us out with recruiting elite talent.

Maybe your browser has issues? I just tried on my Note 4 using Chrome & was able to select R athletics in step 1 & proceeded to step 2 & typed in Coaches Wrestling Fund. Maybe try on your phone using Chrome. If not, then it's a website issue on Rutgers end. Maybe email the foundation & someone will respond.

I was just in touch with the ticket office they could help it the other sources do not work

I know it's off topic, but could you explain this part? What is ROTC (assuming you're referring to Reserve Officers' Training Corps) doing to help with wrestling?

I don't know why I put ROTC. I meant RTC as in Regional Training Center. Rutgers is a regional Olympic training center for wrestling So the idea is that you want to use that to bring in Olympians to train with our wrestlers, mutually benefitting everyone. Generally, the guys training from the Olympics look to go somewhere where they can be provided with stipend.

Excellent donation. Being a RTC is a huge boost to our wrestling program.

good feedback/example for your next Fan Board mtg?

I thought of that too. Its not really part of something they are looking to the fan advisory board for, since even the athletics gifts are run through the University Foundation which is a separate part of the school, but I may try to mention it. Its really not the best way of handling things when we are trying to get all the donations we can.
