The addition of the med school and the common app, have helped propel Rutgers into a top 20 public university. I am a proud Rutgers graduate, along with my wife and children. However, could UNJ be spoken of in the same breath with UVa or UNC? How about UT, UW, UF or UM?
Would UNJ give the state university of New Jersey a larger and broader identity? Would it rally the state to more fully identify with and support it in all areas?
Rowan was Glasboro. TCNJ was Trenton State. Both have thrived with their changes. NJ is the only state in the US whose state university is not name after it. Is it time?
