Sliding on up. Oklahoma drops out. We pass Georgia. Syracuse slips to 25 after loss to Louisville. GWU makes its first appearance since 2008. Princeton up to #18. Texas with a big drop (6 spots) is ahead of us by 33 points.

Nebraska is 19 leading us by nearly 100 points - makes our Thursday game a very important one.

No change at all #s 1-9.

Wow, one slot. If we beat Nebraska we could make it to 19 tops. However, the Huskers game is much more important than a poll.

That is, uh, interesting. Iowa really benefits from the Texas slide.

Top 5: 1. South Carolina (same as last week, 26 1st place votes, down 1 vote*), 2. Connecticut (same, 8 votes, same*), 3. Baylor (same), 4. Notre Dame (same), 5. Maryland (same).

Big Ten: 5. Maryland (same), 16. Iowa (up 4), 19. Nebraska (down 4), also receiving votes: Minnesota (t35th, down 8, 3 points, down 28)

Other RU opponents: 6. Tennessee (same), 13. North Carolina (up 3), also receiving votes: LSU (31st, up 3, 9 points, up 1)

Win both games this week, and RU should have a good chance to move up at least 2 spots, maybe more - Nebraska has RU and Maryland, Texas has Baylor and Mississippi State has TAMU.

*It looks like somebody missed the deadline for voting, since UConn didn't gain any 1st place votes.
