Football VIDEO: Greg Schiano talks Michigan State postgame

I assume you give up a lot. I rather be classless than giving up. Did we get flagged for that play? Are you suggesting Navy’s entire OL is classless?
I know you never played a organized down of football in your life, that is pretty obvious. I have never seen Navy players attack the opposing OL when they were in a victory formation, please provide some reference to such a statement before you malign young men who are willing to die defending your freedom.

Greg is also really good at crashing into victory formations. It's slimy at best, dangerous at worst. Why is this man on our sidelines?
I have no problem with concept of going HAM to the final whistle, it’s just that when Greg does it it reeks of projecting the insecurity of knowing he mismanaged the game away

Good point but to me, since there's literally a .01% chance of actually getting a turnover and scoring a TD, it's not worth the attempt. All it does is create animosity towards Rutgers and more importantly, ammunition for negative recruiting against our best interests.

His stubbornness was a big plus in 1.0. He needed to do a lot of things off the field to get the program even close to on par with it's peers.

Now that stubbornness is a negative. We don't need that program builder. We need a football coach.

The fact he arrogantly says he would do that same thing every time tells you he's never going to get it. He'd do himself a big favor by coming into a press conference and say what we all know- he should have done something differently.

The fact he still doesn't get that is a part of what will ultimately ruin him. He's never evolved as a coach. He didn't learn anything from Urban Meyer.
What has Urban Meyer ever taught anybody?

It’s obvious you are a quitter. Who gives a fvck what formation they line up in? If they are with in one score and there is time on the clock, play ball. I’ll ask again, was there a penalty on the play? Have you ever watch Navy play football? They block low all the time. It’s legal. Learn the game and stop being a quitter.

The discussion here made me look at the video of "the miracle at the meadowlands," which I assume is what you're alluding to. The Giants were not in a victory formation. Rather, the QB and running back messed up a handoff and the ball came loose. That's why the victory formation came to be adopted.

You mean it wasn’t designed so the defense has to stop trying? Weird

sorry but it's a stupid move on Greg's part and looks immature. Game is decided, it's bush league nonsense on top of that, a fight breaks out or someone gets hurt just doesn't help.

stupid

While I know there is a minimal chance at success the premise is to crash to the backfield in case the QB / Center snap is not clean and the ball is loose. It may even disrupt the snap if timed exactly. A long shot for sure.

I understand the premise. I was just making the point that, contrary to what an earlier poster indicated, the Miracle of the Meadowlands in 1978 did not involve crashing a victory formation.
