I have a friend that is a graduate of Purdue. Last Sunday, he came to the gym and offered his hand in condoloneces for our beat down by Michigan with a huge smile on his face along with a comment he was surprised I was actually out in public. Our history is usually a common ground of misery with our respective football teams, but I think he sees a true glimmer of hope that his boilermakers are actually better than RU. Although he is probably right, I am really hoping we can somehow beat Illinois since they beat them last week. A repeat of last week's performance may actually make me want to hide out but he will be at our place tomorrow for a little get together which will really make it hard to hide very well. Go RU!!!!!!
