One of the more noteworthy things Flood mentioned today after practice was that Leonte Carroo was unable to get out on the field to physically practice. Flood said Carroo did a little bit more today than yesterday, so he probably made strides with the training and medical staff before practice. But, Carroo is a guy who doesn't need as much preparation during the week as say a freshman. Freshman Chris Parker ran the scout team simulating J.T. Barrett. Parker might have the speed and background as a quarterback in high school, but is only 5-foot-7. Still, the speed is probably the big thing he has to offer. Flood said Ezekiel Elliott is up there for one of the best running backs the Rutgers defense has faced in the past two years -- highlighted his physical stature and unique attributes. Flood also said he's sticking with the running back rotation for Saturday and thinks any running back could've made the big plays against Indiana if they were in ... After Flood spoke, I talked to Anthony Cioffi. He said he's only a year or two older then the freshman in the secondary, but said he's taking on the mentor role -- the young DBs soak up information like a sponge and sees them getting better each week.
