What has Ash done this season to give you faith he has us on the right track?

I'm guessing I make that sh*t list, because I think it's too early to compare Ash to Saban?
no you don't but it's stupid to continue to try and make that jump. I was simply stating even the best coach in the game had some real rough outings at every stop early on. To think Ash wouldn't is juvenile

RU is one of least penalized teams - it is also top ten for red zone defense. Pass defense in top 25.
The first one is great
The second stat would be impressive if we werent' in the leaders for TD against of over 30 yards
The last stat also has other variables but it's a good one :)

The impression he has made in the coaching community and with the high school players. He helped get people excited again and that was missing under the flood era.

I am happy with the steps the defense took (a lack of depth and a lack of an offense put them into an impossible situation.

Right now at this moment coach Ash has a better recruiting class than Flood. But Flood had a better command of how to prepare a team and he was a much better game day coach. Coach Ash is lost, please focus on his body language and the expressions on his face. I know I'm a lone wolf with the following but if coach Flood did not have the off the field issues and suspended players last year he would have definitely gone 7-5 and with a little luck 8-4. His teams never quit on him and they were always competitive even in defeat.
I respectfully disagree. Flood was overmatched in the B1G. He never made adjustments in either scheme or players when things were not working. Flood was also responsible for the talent (or lack thereof) on this team. Flood would not have done any better with this unit. Hell, Nick Saban could not win this this level of talent in our league.

Regarding the original question, not a damn thing. Nope, Ash has done nothing at all this season to convince me of anything.

BUT wake me on signing day. He might very well do something then.

With the second stat I think that's a reflection on lack of speed. The wider the area of play the worse they do. The red zone is more limited. I think the RU defense is actually tough in red zone because I saw that vs PSU when they had to go for FGs vs TDs

I think speed to a degree, players out of position, poor tackling and lack of matchup by the coach plays more into in my honest opinion

Have to agree. Results have been less than encouraging.
