I never studied marketing (and don't really understand it) but that's how this works.

They pay Rutgers money in order to put up big banners and signage around Rutgers.
People and entities with platforms (athletes, businesses, entities, normal citizens with big social media numbers) get paid to promote products and services - regardless of their relation to the product or service.
As an aside, I know Rich Stanzione. He is a great supporter of Rutgers athletics, a sensational attorney and an even better person. Happy to see that he is helping our team.
