This program is at a crossroads of progress and perception. Yes, I would go all out to win this season. Ideally, I would go for two useful grad transfers (not that it will be easy to land even one). Unlike some posters, who say that we will be fine without Eugene Omoruyi, I believe his departure is a huge negative, and Yeboah is a very different kind of PF who cannot simply be plugged in for Eugene . We were already in the market for a badly need 5 to spell Myles Johnson. Now, in my opinion, we also need another 4, playing 8 to 10 minutes a game, grab some rebounds, give some fouls to defend the lane, maybe score a couple close to the rim. If we cannot land a 4 and a 5, then a promising 2019 would be an alternative, but at this late date, we would have to get pretty lucky there. Win now. BTW, to return to the point about EO's value, IMO, he was our most consistent player, in spite of chronic knee injury. A captain and leader, a great rebounder, solid defender, and enough of a scorer around the hoop to lead the team in scoring. A big loss no matter how you cut it. I will also add my two cents as to why he left. His knees could have healed in Piscataway as a redshirt (not that this would have been a great scenario for the team for 2020). But there is no doubt in my mind that his departure had everything to do with a bruised ego at the recruiting of Yeboah, and yes, it was a major disappointment for everyone, fans, players, coaches and all who follow the team. It forces the team to develop a whole new style, chemistry and rotation.
