What Will It Take for Corey To Be Drafted

Douby was the Big Easts leading scorer at almost 26 per game his junior season, and only lasted 3 seasons after being drafted first round by Sacramento.

Now, he's gone on to have a legendary career all over the world since, especially a bunch of high profile seasons in the CBA, and is currently in Lebanon making mid 6 figures even now...

He's the exception though, not the rule.

Always cheer for my guys, but I truly hope CS gets his degree at the very least. It's a pleasure watching him play, and I'd take a ton of pride in knowing the rest of his life is off to a great start after he's done at Rutgers
I don't think Sanders will ever play in the NBA, but he is a better defender than Douby ever was.

Very diplomatic.

only at RU do we have an entire thread committed to sh***ing on our best player's hopes and dreams

Exactly what I said about some of these clowns like rio RIO...lol. Then they post like I am the only one that feels the same way.

You are very perceptive Arigold. I applaud you !!

Douby had a fine career overseas. He played four years in the NBA, three with Sacramento and 7 games with Toronto in his fourth year. Averaged 4.8 PPG in his second and best year. Saw him in Orlando for a few minutes of action one night. Not NBA ready on defense. If he couldn't make it, doubt Corey can, even though he plays defense better. Better off overseas from the start.

The interesting thing is this - If Quincy Douby was on the Golden State Warriors right now he would be a killer 3 point shooter today. The Game was a little different back in 2009. IMO, I think he only played 4 four years because of his lack of Defense.

The Warriors have actually been one of the best defensive teams in the NBA over the last several years. He'd still have to play defense to get on the floor there. Just about everybody on that team can shoot.

The NBA may not care about stats, but they do care about skill. Players need to be skilled to succeed. On a good NBA team, everybody on the floor from the 6-11 stretch 4 to the point guard is at least a good shooter. There isn't much room for 6-2 guards who are below average outside shooters.
