Hafley would cost less than Schiano but that savings should be directly applied to assistant salary pool. We need a full time 10 man staff between HC and assistants making $7.5 - $8 mill. It would still be bottom 1/3 of big ten pay scale but go a LONG way to having a monster all-star staff.

Hafley- $2.5
OC/QB- Sean Gleeson/ Phil Longo $850k
RB/ Co-OC- Nunz $400k
WR- Tiquan Underwood $250k
OL- Bob Bostad $450k (hafley and him worked together in tampa)
TE- Brian Angelicho $350k (he and hafley worked together at pitt, RU, tampa and cleveland)

DC: Ant Camp $600k
co-dc/secondary: Fran Brown $600k
assistant secondary: Ross Douglas $200k
Linebackers/ST coordinator: Chris Partridge $600k
DL: Elijah Robinson $800k

This dream team staff would only cost $7.6 million. For reference between Ash’s salary + assistants salaries plus staff buyouts we paid Ash’s staff in total about $30 million over 4 years. In other words $7.5 million/yr. $100k extra for this type of staff. Damn!

How do we get some of these guys to come here from michigan and texas a&m?
1) theyre all from NJ
2) pay them more or close to what theyre already making (robinson makes $550k right now, give him $250k extra to come home and itd be tough to say no
3) offer them long-term job security. Put these guys 3-4 year contracts fully guaranteed at that money and how do you turn it down? Offer elijah robinson 4 years $3.2 million guaranteed to come home!? How do you turn that down? Life changing money.
