What Year Did The 3 Point Shot Become Part of the College Game?

While some college hoops conferences experimented with it in the early '80s, the NCAA didn't universally implement a 3-point line until 1986, with high school basketball following a year later.

the 1975-1976 RU team scored over 90 points close to 20 times, if I remember correctly..... this, in a time of no three point
shots, and no shot clock.... so a team like Princeton could pass it around for minutes, waiting for a back door chance...

I tried to find the link to that season, but cannot.... still amazed at how good that team was putting it in the hoop.
