Just tuned in and have seen 5 plays and not one guy has gotten tackled or is trying. It's a joke. Why even have this game?

The stands were half empty. It's honorable that these guys show up but it's obvious that no one wants to hit or get hurt.

Keep the Pro Bowl selection, get rid of the game. Perhaps just have a skills competition and call it a day.

Always been this way. Miami safety had a chance to kill OBJ and didn't even bother. My kid watches it and I'm sure he isn't the only one.

Can't watch. Powerpuff football. Agree with idea of skills challenge instead of game. Although I know nfl won't do that if ratings are high eneough. Who watches this?

I think one of the worst 'non hit' tackles came towards the end when they had Michael Bennett (SEA) run the ball for a long TD. It got called back because the ref blew the whistle when someone grazed his arm.

i'd be more intrigued if they aired them playing a pick up game of basketball.

to take a page from the NHL maybe 6 teams based on division and play 7 on 7.

I'm a die hard hockey fan, but I hate the 3 on 3 -- and definitely not 2 hours of it. It's such a gimmick and it's already being phased out during the regular season. For the first 2 months, lots of games ended in OT due to the 3 on 3. But that began to change as coaches got used to it. Having the finale end at 1-0 shows even the best won't necessarily score with 3 on 3.

IMO, all all-star games are pretty lame with the possible exception of baseball.

Waste of time. Players from the Super Bowl teams aren't allowed to play, right?

Last night's Pro Bowl was a cheap shot fest compared to the game they had a couple years ago. As long as there is an ESPN there will be a Pro Bowl in some fashion. We'll never get to the point of just naming a team w/o some football themed competition

Long gone are the days where all star games meant serious money to the participants. And there's no rancor between the leagues as there used to be. For a player with a multi-million dollar a year contract, there is absolutely no upside for playing in this game.

I agree completely here. I could see doing 4 on 4 for the all-star game and there's been talk at times of moving to 4 on 4 period for hockey. I don't love that idea though.

And yes, other than baseball the all-star games are horrible. Although baseball needs to drop the silly provision that the league that wins the game gets home field in the World Series. Just base it on who had the better regular season record. Maybe the all-star game could be like a third-level tie breaker after head-to-head (if the two teams played in the regular season) and overall record in interleague play for the season.

Here's what hey have to do.. actually make it 2-hand touch.. have the bigs play vs bigs.. have the skill players play vs skill players. 7 on 7 stuff... 2 hand or flag football. No blocking. Let the QBs play for every team. See DBs run pass routes with WRs covering them... same for LBs and TEs and OL and DL.

Have other events.. like lip syncs, dance offs, golf, mini-golf, volleyball, basketball... strong man competitions, etc. make it all week long. Have fun events for all the probowlers and their families and allow fans see them do other things. Find a charity angle to it all.. Hawaiian charities.
