Watching Old Timers' Day at Yankee Stadium and I see Whitey Ford.....but no Mr. Berra ?
I hope all is well.

I believe Zappaa told us some time ago that his dad was very frail. I'm sure the death of Zappaa's mother hit him hard. Remember too that Mr. Berra just turned 90.

Thanks for asking Kbee-
We decided it was best for my dad to miss this year. He's doing ok, not frail, but currently having a difficult time with his mobility. He would have loved to be there, but not at the expense of being uncomfortable.
He surprises us all the time, and we expect him to be feeling a bit better shortly.
He's already saying "I ain't missing next year"

Glad to hear Yogi is doing alright.
Was a Yogi fan like most on this board ( even if I wasn't a Yankee fan) and Yogi's Yoo Hoo commercials
always stick in my mind when thinking of Yogi. They were fun to watch .

It was "old timers" day... Yogi ain't old.. he'll never be old. That's what everyone loves about him. He's young at heart.

Great to see that after having a pissing match over TTFP you two can share a warm moment on something close to all of us (albeit closest to Zappaa!). :-)

A National Treasure in my opinion
This^. Yogi, should have a postal stamp. He should have an annual baseball award named after him. He crosses all fan bases,Yankee fan or not,Met fan here, as someone you think of along the lines of "Baseball, apple pie, and Yogi Berra"!!!!!
