Which Experienced QB is Ciarrocca bringing with him to Rutgers?
One would expect this from signing him to one of the largest contracts for a College Offensive Coordinator.

Thoughts?

If the fans donate more for NIL, maybe Caleb Williams will transfer here. Apparently, that's all it takes to get that kind of talent.

Kirk Cousins?
Joe Flacco? He's a short ride up the NJ Turnpike! Maybe we could get Garrett Wilson too (he played at Ohio State) and Tyler Conkin at TE. We got the makings of an offense there!!

You make a good point . You would think a guy getting gold coin might bring at least a competent backup with him

I don't know about what QB's but GS just signed his make or break- he now has one of the nations highest paid OC...This is not a kid being given a chance or a coach from lower ranks moving up- he paid big and it deserves results day 1.
There should have been no conversation of...how do you make this offense better in year 3. It has to be- you see our roster, have seen us play, you know the B1G- what do you do in 2023 to improve and get us into a bowl game because our defense is already there.

This hire = no more rebuild and no more excuses.

It is either results or Greg should have jus bought a couple of years by hiring Nunzio.
BTW- Nunzio should be given some sort of title and raise- dude has always been there for us.

Greg might be in a win now mode and feel Captain Kirk is worth overpaying while building a winner..
Also KC might be expected to mentor Nunzio ( in the OC department) so Campanile's loyalty to the program is rewarded with opportunities as an OC elsewhere or as Ciarrocca's replacement if a successful Rutgers offense brings him opportunities that would be hard to turn down
KC probably is a confort zone hire because Schiano knows him and feels better hiring a person he knows rather than gamble of an OC that he might not trust as much.

As for buying a couple of years, the fanbase now seems like it was when Greg1 left for greener pastures.
Then like now, a vocal part of the fabbase was starting to turning on him and gathering followers claiming RU needs someone else m citing the lack of Championships and BCS Bowl bids.
Though he pulled in a great recruiting class, I felt he knew it was do it or get out time and a pro opportunity being available made the decision to leave much easier along with knowing he didn't have Mulcahy to get hin what RU needs anymore.
Pernetti might have been on his side , but was unable or unwilling to give Greg1 the funding Schiano claimed he needed for him to make RU a top program .
Also the complaints about Schiano's pay by some of the fanbase probably had Tim P not interested in bum, ping Greg1's salary up like Schiano felt he deserved.

QBs will not follow him because they do their research and know he will not be calling the shots , it doesn’t take a brain surgeon to figure that out .
This is the key- if nothing changes- 100% on Greg.
He just paid big for an OC- there is either drastic change or complete remake.

That’s Woody Johnson money that no one with that type of money will come up with.

Doubled KC's Gopher salary which is making me wonder if Greg got desperate.
Even if I won't knock the hire, wonder if Schiano was having a hard time finding an OC and decided overpaying for someome one that fits his confort zone was better than waiting too long and serttling for an OC that he didn't know if they'd see eye to eye on the direction he wanted the the offence to take

Any chance his contract requires him to spend 500k of his salary on NIL? Sort of like a budget for his “staff”.
