Who the heck is Joe Giglio ??? !!!

The sports editor, Kevin Manahan, has the entire Ledger/NJcom/NJ Advance staff ramping up regurgitated hit pieces. Same MO for years when they smell blood. It succesfully worked for them getting Mulcahy & Pernetti fired, failed when they tried to get Eddie Jordan & Julie Hermann fired. We shall see about Kyle.

Don't sweat what you read in comment sections.

You can hire people to flood comment boxes with your agenda under various names for $5.

Joe Giglio I believe won one of the WFAN's Phantasy Phenom contests, where he gets to host a 1 hour show about 2 in the morning.

This is almost comical. He admits he doesn't know anything - he writes "If, and it's a major if, Rutgers' investigation proves that Flood violated policy in a major way, his job status would immediately come into question." I mean come on man - how about writing with facts as a journalist is supposed to rather than pure speculation. Anyone can speculate to turn even the best situations into something bad.

I think RU learned form Tim P. After that they simply arent going to really give a damn if NJ.com writes a million crap articles. FLood is going nowhere.

The lack of professionalism he displays is quite evident in his comment responses. Makes NJ.com looks like a grocery checkout publication. I guess not much integrity or character at the organization.

Expect more click-bait BS like this from NJ.com.
If they can get you to look at their crap, you are the one at fault if you get mad.
You should know what to expect by now.

ScarletSCourge,
You're right 100%. There is some part of me that thinks one day we will get local media who support not only Rutgers Athletics, but the university as a whole. I have seen it in other regions, but it may never happen here. Once there are enough other outlets to go to for Rutgers sports, I am done with these clowns. I wish scarletknights.com would have more Rutgers articles throughout the day.

That is comical. I wonder if he figured that out all by himself.

That's like saying, "If, and only if, it rains, I might get wet. If it does not rain, chances are I'll stay dry".

Gee, Joe, ya think?

Best thing to do is ignore these guys. The national media is staying away, almost all college fans don't care, and most of us should do the same.

The less attention they get, the more they look foolish running rehashed wannabe scandals or editorials masquerading as actuaI news stories. This is the reason most people don't consider them a reliable news source and why they're likely not going to be around in the next several years.

Wow. This speculative slant is not credible journalism. This fellow needs management to step in. Unless, of course, management is on board. Maybe it's time for RU alumni in positions of influence to exert that influence? That may begin with withdrawing the SL from advertising initiatives and those $.

A: The slipshod, speculative shoddiness that passes for published sports journalism nowadays.

Politi and Sargent probably didn't want to write any more hit pieces on this topic, so they dredged up this guy

Ironically way back when the late Mort Pye was the Star-Ledger's editor in chief, they had nothing but positive to say about RU.

I'm pretty sure for the price of a few box tops plus your sworn allegiance to anything anti-RU, Manahan will give you a byline.

He's just Joe Giglio and everywhere he goes
People know the part he's playin'
Paid for every dance, sellin' each romance
Ooh, what they're sayin'

There will come a day, and youth will pass away
What'll they say about him?
When the end comes I know they'll say just Joe Giglio
And life goes on without him

If and its a MAJOR IF that somehow Giglio has a set of balls then maybe he might turn into a man someday but until that's proven he has to be content to be Politi's pantywaste

I wish that I didn't watch and listen to this video from Joe Giglio. The guy is a major tool and is probably acting on orders from his bosses at the SL to trash RU FB for any reason whatsoever.

He should be suspended by RU from all food and drink at the home opener at Rutgers Stadium IMO.

Pollock tweeted his support for coach Flood. I challenged Joe in the comment section and asked him why no one has reported on a commits support. His response was that he didn't find it interesting or some bs. The exchange was hilarious. He deleted a bunch of comments. God forbid they report something positive about the situation

Joe Giglio was a hack sports "personality" on WADB AM n Monmouth/Ocean for what was a Fox Sports affiliate under Millennium Radio. He had a 3 hour show with Mike Krenek for a year or two as a "pet project" of former Prez Bill Saurer. When WADB was flipped to be the simulcast of WOBM AM, those two clowns went to WCHR FM and then added another hack, Tyrone Johnson, to make a show from 7p-10p called "Just a bit Outside". When Townsquare Medai bought Millennium, the first thing they did was get rid of this show. Thank god! Krenek became a teacher and Giglio became workless until winning Fantasy Phenom from WFAN.

Bottomline is, he admittedly, like Francesa, knows nothing about college football and hockey/basketball. He "specializes" in baseball and pro football.

So if you think this guy knows jack about Rutgers Football, know this-he knows NOTHING! SO this is why I don't let his hack opinions bother me. He's better at going to do a live show from Buffalo Wild Wings at the Monmouth Mall talking about the Blue Claws than about Rutgers.
