It was a very nice advertisement for the school, and a nice tail gate party tent. It made me realize the new era and season is not very far away.

Nope, I don't like bothering people on vacation, and they were in the middle of setting up. We were on our way further down the beach lugging a lot of stuff, and wanted to keep going.I strike up conversations with people who happen to have an R hat on. And you wouldn't/couldn't ask them yourself?
I was just thinking who goes to Sandy Hook anyway? You have to be crazy. Anyone swimming north of LBI is crazy.July 7 Headline:
"Bacteria off Sandy Hook was 232 times safe limit"
http://www.app.com/story/news/local.../07/07/sandy-hook-nj-beach-bacteria/86797054/
That's a pretty pompous statement. Sure, Sandy Hook isn't the cleanest beach by any stretch, but ok if you just want to get a tan, and don't have the time to fight the traffic. There are plenty of beaches between the Hook and LBI that are great beaches to swim at,that you just threw under the bus, lol. We spend plenty of day trips at Belmar or Pt. Pleasant, and love the water there. When not going on day trips, our family goes to Wildwood or Ocean City,MD. I'd venture to say, many on here can't afford the week long or month long stay at LBI unless it's Daddy's house.I was just thinking who goes to Sandy Hook anyway? You have to be crazy. Douchebag said what??I was just thinking who goes to Sandy Hook anyway? You have to be crazy. Anyone swimming north of LBI is crazy.
Truth hurts. Did you see Abro's post. You think the bacteria levels are only high at Sandy Hook. To each his own.Douchebag said what??

Keep believing Sea Bright has low levels. To be honest, I haven't been to a beach in NJ in over 15 years. I don't like risking my health.Sure does. Only beach flagged by NJ DEP was South of LBI for high levels.
Sea Bright's levels are lower than all of LBI. Fecal coliform levels may be higher where you swim. [laughing] Let me know which beach you prefer so I can avoid it.

Isn't tourism on the shore a big business? Yeah. I believe their stats. Keep swimming in Sea Bright. You were just crowing about levels being lower LBI and South and you were called out on it. Facts are hard to refute. NJDEP is covering up? Maybe Christie is covering for his former Democratic Mayor Dina Long? [roll]
Sea Bright beaches are 90% beach clubs and members pay a lot of money for beach club memberships. Some of the clubs are very exclusive. You would not be able to swim on most of hte beaches in Sea Bright. I'll take the anonymous opinion of an uninformed person who doesn't go to NJ beaches over the NJDEP measurements. Got it.Isn't tourism on the shore a big business? Yeah. I believe their stats. Keep swimming in Sea Bright.
Hmmm.. . . only beaches listed are on LBI.I was just thinking who goes to Sandy Hook anyway? You have to be crazy. Anyone swimming north of LBI is crazy.

The few times I have given an "R" cheer when I see someone sporting RU gear or a flag they look at me like i'm retarded, sorry, special needs.

That post was from the beginning of July and you quote me now? Don't you have a life? I just got back from 8 days in Punta Cana. I'll be nice and just say I'll take that beach every day.Not-for-nothing but you just got shot down with facts and this is what you come back with? LOL, com'on man, how can you make claims as such then tell us all you haven't even been to a NJ beach in 15-years?
Millionaires are not necessarily that smart, especially the old money ones. All the money in the world can't buy brains or common sense. Never understood paying upwards of $30K per year for a cabana and to sit on a beach with a direct view of NYC.Somehow I think the millionaires from Rumson that belong to Chapel Beach Club in Sea Bright, would have an informed expert taking water samples for them.
And just as convenient as the Jersey shore! Ass...That post was from the beginning of July and you quote me now? Don't you have a life? I just got back from 8 days in Punta Cana. I'll be nice and just say I'll take that beach every day.
It's not so much the direct view of NYC, it has more to do with the fact that they pay 30K for such a shitty beach. The sand is terrible which gives the appearance of being dirty.Millionaires are not necessarily that smart, especially the old money ones. All the money in the world can't buy brains or common sense. Not as bad as Belmar's South end, which has the orange hue of a dirt quarry post Sandy. Actually, the best beaches in Sea Bright are on the North end, but there is no parking and there are no lifeguards. Nice sandbar at low tide, which limits the risk of no lifeguards. It's not so much the direct view of NYC, it has more to do with the fact that they pay 30K for such a shitty beach. I'm spoiled, we drive on at Island Beach State Park. The beaches and sand are awesome. If you take a walk in the dunes or trek along the bayside you would think you're somewhere other than Jersey. I would put IBSP up against any other beach in the country. Not as bad as Belmar's South end, which has the orange hue of a dirt quarry post Sandy. No debating it, IBS is a treasure. Lucky you.I'm spoiled, we drive on at Island Beach State Park. The beaches and sand are awesome.
