Guys kept asking me that the whole game....at least util Geo's last few shots.
BTW, I gotta admit in the last few minutes I was just hoping for OT.
Whew. Nice win.

Myles does like to pass the ball as well, so sometimes they get him the ball and he keeps it flowing.

In general no one on the team is the focus of the offense, and that is a central part to it's success.

I disagree with some of above. Miles us often wide open but that's never been a pass I've seen Rutgers make or frankly even look to make over the years,
Problem? No real point guard. Mac. Is now running it and he's missed the pass a few times. He's made some great ones too.
They've all made some great passes but we just don't look at this in time. Guards first offense.

Mantra : Share the ball.

The last 2 games in particular, in the half coutmrt sets teams appear to be running a tight zone protecting the inside and not defending the three so tightly. Likely because Myles offensive reprtoire is limited to 5 feet from the rim and our 3 point shooting is not consistent. This also appears to be effecting our ability to effectively run a high post against the zone which has been used to direct it inside to Myles.

Agree with RUInsanity.. while we may struggle getting Myles opportunities in general - in the last two games especially teams have been packing the paint -- really makes it difficult to get to the basketball, and offensive rebound, and such..

I think what people don’t consider enough here is that if you increase his post up touches he’s going to the free throw line more, which is basically a turnover at this point.

Nebraska was really doing a good job hedging back just enough to keep the space to make the entry pass difficult in combo with forcing Myles a little further away from the basket than usual

They were able to do that a lot because if you watched. As soon as a Nebraska shot went up , at least two of their guys rotated back to prevent the fast break

A by product of that is that get to pick us up further away from the basket if they set up in Myles spot...which they did

Need to rotate the ball a couple of times to get Myles a chance to get to his spot a bit closer to the hoop and more manageable to getting a non deflected entry pass in

Nebraska had a game plan to take away the paint and make us beat them from outside. Every game is different as to how we game plan. When we have the advantage in the paint we have gone to it. This is really not a guard first offense it's more of a scheme offense based on who we are playing. Also there is a kid named PM on team who has had many announcers praise his play and he is a true point guard. Also JY can fill role at times

The last two games I’ve seen teams just grab Miles when he had ball down low to put him on foul line. Needs to get his percentage into 60s to stop that (or keep banking them).

It is a double edged sword with getting the ball into him. On the one hand there are times when he is open and we miss the chance. On the other, fouling him is a mostly effective strategy and he is foul proned himself and he could earn himself a place on the bench if he is not careful.

They were trying. Nebraska did a great job on Myles.
You are correct they were almost doubling Myles to not allow the pass that is where we need a 3 point shooter to not allow that and the same thing when teams go into a zone against us
