Got injured at last tournament, saw him at Nebraska match still using crutches.

Good catch by the way, was wondering if anyone would notice the one guy not wrestling either Wilkes or Midlands.

I feel bad for the guys like Ralph whose true weight class should be 220 pounds. Despite having heart and a warrior spirit, as an undersized heavyweight, he will struggle against the big boys of the division. Sorry to hear about his injury and i hope is didn't happen as a result of being in the wrong weight class.

I agree there should be one more weight class between 197 and HWT. Correnti would fit nicely in something in that area.

In the Round of 32, we had 10 BYE's our one match was Ottaviano winning 19-0.

Round of 16 (so far)
125 - Gonzalez won 17-0 (wrestles Patrick's brother in qtr)
125 - Patrick won 14-0 is in the Qtr
133 - Cali has a Bye into the Qtr.
133 - Lipari won 3-0 against a pretty good Rider kid is in the Qtr
141 - Ramos lost 8-6, will go to wrestle backs.
141 - Ottaviano won 8-4 is in the Qtrs
149 - Povalac lost 13-5 will go to WB
165 - Scott lost 9-7 will go to WB
165 - Simmons won (no score given) is in the Qtrs
184 - Messner won 6-4 is in the Qtrs
197 - Kremiller won 5-0 is in the Qtrs

If there was a 220 weight class, Normandia would probably be wrestling off against Camp.

First round of Wrestlebacks we went 3-0

141 Ramos 5-2
149 Povalac pins
165 Scott 8-0

Just curious, do pins in tournaments like these with our backups count toward the pin pledge number?

I think (Josh can confirm, if he reads this) that pins by kids redshirting do not count. But if a kid is not redshirting they would count. Povalac is redshirting.

Good catch, looks like he graduated HS in 2005 and went on to wrestle for Drexel. The kid wrestling Patrick at 125 is doing a post graduate at Wyo Seminary and is coached by Mytych.

We may want to look at the 125 if he beats two of our guys and is not committed anywhere.

his name is Steve Mytych? His father is friends with me and wrestled for Manville back in the 80s.
