We need a big crowd, and a big student turnout. And we need to be loud and make the place rock.

Never followed basketball closely in either NBA or college until Pikiell was hired. Went to only one NBA game when I was like 5 and never been to a college game. But after these first 2 games I just looked at my girlfriend and asked her if she wanted to go Friday night. The fact that Pikiell is getting people like me this excited and wanting to go to games is so awesome

This is good news

Can we pull out the rest of the bleachers in the student section? I still don’t get why they’re so far away from the court.

I believe the student bleachers have to be a certain distance from the court that’s why they have been moved back however many years ago

Completely agree and I’ve talk to Sarah about this before it’s absurd that those bleachers are like that. Now that we can fill them again, hopefully, they should be pulled forward. There’s no reason to have 20 feet between the baseline and the bleachers.

Depends on what we mean. Will it be a good atmosphere and loud at times? I expect so. Will it be like UNLV in 1991, some of the Seton Hall/Syracuse/UConn games under Bannon/Waters. Highly unlikely.

If we’re somehow playing for postseason in February? Perhaps!

It doesn’t need to be like the past per se, it just needs to ROCK! If it’s sold out and this team keeps playing this way, it’ll be a Knightmare for the Johnnies!

Yes it is! It’s a fun team to watch and I think if someone hasn’t seen them before it will easy to get them hooked if they get to a game.

I've been watching all the games since Pikiell was hired so I've been hooked since then lol...but damn this team is fun to watch so I think it's time to get to a game

Nope, just been dormant way too long. SHU game last year showed what it can be again.

Putting the cushy seats on the lower level behind the benches was the beginning of the end.

Look at the ESPN tv feed of the A10 champ game against Penn State

That was the RAC

The changing of 118 was the final nail in the coffin of the RAC being the RAC...

Unfortunately it will never be what it once was. We lost three sections of students behind the home bench, a bunch of seats when they renovated the student section behind Basket, and we also used to fill one side of the 300s with students for big games. It was so loud in there I literally would get headaches!

That being said a packed RAC, with 2500+ students in it, can be one of the loudest arenas in the nation hands-down.

Packed RAC won’t be the same without 118. Silly FL stealing soul of 118.

I think she's in, so if we can get there in time after I'm done with work we'll be there.

So I'm a football and wrestling guy but I used to love going to my high school basketball games. When football and wrestling crowds are going the atmosphere is great, but I think basketball games just get to a whole other level when it gets rowdy.....and I think that's what Pikiell wants/can get Rutgers to...and I think Friday will be an awesome environment

To be 100% honest I wouldn’t be surprised if Zoffinger, the daughter, had the bleachers moved back so that her dance and cheer teams had more room.
Does any other school have their cheer and dance teams 5 rows deep extending the entire baseline?
