Wish for a win against Maryland and for our Admin to do the right thing

You can make the argument that the admin should provide justifications for their actions, perhaps. That's not unreasonable.

But forum members are under no obligation to justify or explain their opinions. That's just silly.
Certainly not an obligation, but if you're here to actually discuss things then explaining why you think what you think is pretty helpful.

What are you talking about? Tejay Johnson was in trouble before these episodes several times. He was in trouble with the law in high school then again with the assault charge which was dropped. I'm sorry if you want to stick your head in the sand but he was a known bad egg which Flood gave one too many chances to. Apparently your under the assumption that these are the first times Johnson has ever been in trouble. Again you couldn't be more wrong.

My opinion can not be "wrong" first of all. I get u disagree with it.

My opinion was coaches should not and cannot be responsible for their players 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Flood isn't the only coach, and Rutgers isn't the only program with "bad apples". If 6 players getting arrested, the majority for fighting constitutes a embarrassment by Flood in your opinion..that's fine. There's plenty worse in college football.

I suppose it might be helpful in understanding why a person thinks what they think. And for sure it's more conducive to having a discussion.

But the post to which I responded used the language "needs to" which implies an obligation of some sort.

The only foul is not winning enough. All the rest is manageable.

I agree that winning more games cures a whole lot. But it wouldn't excuse the academic transgressions or multitude of player arrests/dismissals that occurred in Rutgers' case. I'd actually argue that since it takes more talent and way better coaching to win B1G games, both of these occurrences would have been basically rendered unnecessary if we had both attributes. Barnwell could have remained academically ineligible without any coach's desperate interference, and Peele/Boggs could have been dismissed after their prior offenses and/or remained unrecruited by RU in the first place.

I get what you're saying but it has been proven time and time again. If you win, people have your back. If you lose, you have to fend for yourself.

...it's just not in my DNA to want us to lose. I'm also not a fan of wishing anyone ill will in terms of employment but this staff and our HC have left A LOT to be desired for the majority of their tenure.

Spot on. I could never root against the kids and I still think Kyle Flood is a good man and does not deserve all the vitriol he has received. But as a program we need to make a coaching change unless we are happy with 5-7 win seasons and bowl games in Detroit and the Bronx.
